A very cute well kept and lightly used flat in the heart of downtown Portland. 1-4 block from countless award winning restaurants and bars, 7 Blocks from the beautiful Pearl district, 3 blocks from the Portland Timbers Soccer Stadium. Few blocks from multiple theaters, brew pubs, and concert venues.
The Embassy Condominiums is a restored building dating back to almost 100 years ago. The flat is on the second floor, very accessible and comfortable. Overlooking the courtyard which was remodeled this year.
Great walking neighborhoods, endlees entertainment, or just stay in and cozy up and enjoy a movie on the big screen TV. Free internet and free laundry, washer/dryer.
And if you can't find what your looking for within a few blocks, then the light rail and bus stop are only a few blocks away.
It is a single room with separate kitchen, bathroom and closet areas. So the bed pulls out of a falls wall like a vintage style murphy bed. Technically you could sleep 4, one on the couch, one on the small pull out couch, and 2 in the bed. But it is ideal for 2 people.

John's apartment could not have been more perfect. It is better than advertised and the surrounding Alphabet district was a perfect place to come home to each night. We didn't have a car but one was not needed. The place was a short walk from the rail station. Really it was a short walk from everywhere including to the Timbers game we went to one night and the car rental place that we used to go hiking in the Columbia river gorge. We were able to do laundry for free as well. This was our first time to Portland and if we ever came back we would definitely stay at John's.
Great stay in Johns place, which is perfectly located for Portland and all it has to offer. Right near NW21st and 23rd streets which are great for food, bars and shopping. The place was as described and as per the pictures - just right for 2 people.
Just one thing to note, that isn't Johns fault - parking is a bit of an issue, and in theory isn't free all day on premises as described.
Overall, a really good stay. Would recommend.
John was very helpful for food and entertainment tips for the Portland area. Very responsive to questions. Location is great, unit is clean and perfect for anyone wanting to experience Portland. I would highly recommend booking with John for anyone.
The reservation was canceled 51 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
This place was awesome! Great location in the Alphabet District, short walk to some great restaurants, shops, and public transportation is nearby if you want to head out to other areas of Portland.
Check-in process was a breeze, and John answered any questions I had via email or text within minutes.
This was our first trip to Portland; we're already talking about coming back for a longer stay. When we do, I really hope that this place is available.
John was a great host and the apartment was perfect for our short stay in Portland. I even thought I had left my shirt at his apartment and he went to great lengths to look for it. It ended up being stuck in the bottom of my luggage, but John was so great about getting back to me. If you're looking for a courteous host in a lovely neighborhood and don't need a ton of room, definitely look up this place!
It is a fantastic location, very close to 23rd, the International Rose Garden and downtown (30 minute walk or less than 10 with Max). The apartment is spacious, warm and comfortable. I felt like I was home is a typical Portland residential neighborhood. Although I didn't meet John in person, he was very nice and helpful by email and over the phone. Thank you!
John's apartment is wonderful! It is clean, cozy, and we felt very much at home. The apartment building is very quiet and clean and the people that we came in contact with were very friendly. The location if perfect, too. The immediate neighborhood is one of the best in town (bakeries, coffee shops, bars, restaurants, shops) and just a short walk to downtown. We were easily able to walk down at night to meet friends or go for a run on the waterfront. Washington Park/Rose Garden are also just a run/walk away as are the West Hills for some of the best cycling in town.
John was very friendly and helpful. He was very gracious in answering my questions and I appreciated how prompt he was in getting back to me and his concern that our stay would be pleasant. We hope to be able to stay here again when we visit Portland.
Our stay at John's place was fantastic! It is such a perfect space for two, and the location was perfect for us as well. Within walking distance from anything you might need for a weekend away, including great coffee, morning pastries, dinner, drinks, parks, beautiful neighborhoods to stroll, etc. We didn't end up meeting John, but he was easy to work with and made our stay seamless. Definitely recommended!
John couldn't have been more helpful. Despite us having a delayed flight and getting in at 1am, he was still able to let us in and give us some last minute tips. The location was ideal for everything we wanted to do and more! Gardens, theaters, museums, etc. All within walking distance too!! The place was nice and cozy and the heater worked like a gem. My only complaint was the bed was a little small so if your sharing, plan on lots of cuddling. Other than that, I highly recommend this place. Thanks again John!!
