Welcome to Shanghai,
And to one of its' most incredible estates also.
Located right in the middle of Jingan and just a few minutes by walk to french concession the flat is a duplex penthouse with privates terraces overlooking the city.
With its 4 bedroom can accomodates up to 10 guests and all in real beds.
The big living rooms and the terraces made it a
perfect event space.
A maid will take care of all your needs.
The area is full of international restaurant and cafes as well as authentic shanghainese ones.
French concession is walking distance while peopple square and the bund can be reached in two and three subway stops respectively.
The flat is between champing road on line 7 and jingan temple on line 2 which goes directly to pudong and hongqiao airport.
Complimentary airport pickup for stays longer than a week
Looking forward to have you as guest:))
Cesare went out of his way to help us with a package we needed sent to Shanghai. His apartment has a great location, but is not as clean and tidy as the pictures indicate. Overall very satisfied.
This apartment is in a good location and is a good size. The only 'incredible' thing about this apartment was how underwhelming it was. It was dirty and surfaces felt sticky. The furniture is old stained and shabby. It didn't feel that safe as some windows and doors did not lock. The handel on the upstairs bedroom door was missing and one of our party got locked in when he pulled the door closed, and couldn't get out, luckily he had a leatherman in his bag. The downstairs bathroom is mouldy and smelt of sewer. Caesar redeemed himself to a small extent by offering free transport to the airport. This apartment has great potential. Would I stay here again no, not in it's current condition.
Thanks for Sharing your opinion,
However is the fisrst time I am receiveing such comments.
I believe you might be used to different standards such 5 stars hotels, and then airbnb and serviced apartments in general might not suitable for you.
Regarding your issues :
I offered an extra cleaning but you refused as you didn't want to be disturbed.
The windows which couldn't be locked are facing to a private balcony only accessible from the apartment located at the 29th floor.
For the door knob, you are right, my apologies for that, the previous guests broke it and because I was waiting for the new replacement to arrive I offered you a free ride to the airport.
I wish you to find a place that can meet your requirements for your next trip, however I am not sure if an apartment is the best option for you.
This is truly a big place and great for friends' reunion. It'd be even better on warmer days so we can take advantage of the nice rooftop. The place is in a great location and very easy to get to many fun places in Shanghai.
the place is huge! looks very similar to the pics posted (although the stuff are a bit old, and i couldn't seem to figure out how to open the upstairs outside area). it fit our group of 7 perfectly, with extra room to spare. the ipod dock in the living room was a pleasant surprise too.
cesare's welcome pack was very useful, contained a lot of directions and maps. he provided an affordable ride from airport as well.
the place is near jingan temple station and has a bunch of great restaurants right outside + several malls walking distance (the toasted siopao outside the place is awesome, 5 yuan for 4 pcs).
overall i'd totally recommend cesare's place, esp to big groups of friends looking for a chill vacation in shanghai.
The apartment is like the photos, very modern and very spacious. I stayed there with a group of 6 and had more than enough space. Would suggest the apartment for 3 couples or up to 9 singles for a comfortable stay. The apartment would cater for more if you don't mind sharing a bit. Take note that there is 1x king bed, 3x queen/doubles and 1x single bed, and 4 large blankets. So be sure to ask for more blankets if more people are staying. As a suggestion for the future, it would be great if checking in were smoother. Also, it would be a good idea to leave the wifi passwords on the table/fridge or sent in email before hand. As none of us had sims/access to Internet, we had to go to a wifi hotspot in order to contact CB for the password which was a hassle. Also, CB organised pickup from the airport which was much appreciated. However, we had to wait around 20 mins outside CB's house for the key before the getting driven to the apartment. Overall, we never got to meet CB in person but he was quick to respond and enjoyed our stay.
