What an amazing house! We really should have stayed a couple of nights to take advantage of all the amenities it had to offer, like a beautiful kitchen and dining area, as well as a really comfy living room. The washroom was gorgeous too, what a lovely bathtub! Our host Rose was friendly and helpful. The neighborhood was close to everything that we wanted to be near, like restaurants, cafes, breweries, pubs, etc. I could see in better weather walking around more and taking in all the interesting sights! Would definitely stay here again.
Rose and Scott's home is very cozy, warm and inviting. Super nice people. Scott welcomed us at the door, invited us to use eggs milk coffe etc in the refrig and kitchen. The room it self was very large and warm and cozy. The shared bathroom has an amazing shower. I highly recommend this home! We will return. Oh forgot to mention the laberdooble LoLa, super adorable. She doesn't shed!
We enjoyed staying at this house, especially given its convenient location. It is right around the corner from tons of great restaurants and food trucks. We were able to walk or bus all over the city. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the house had a friendly, communal atmosphere.
My boyfriend and I had a very short stay at Rose and Scott's house but it was very pleasant. Scott (Rose's brother) was very friendly and showed us around when we arrived. Our room was spacious and the house was very nice. Please keep in mind that there will be other airbnb guests staying at the house (I believe there are 3 other bedrooms that are up for rent). When we were there, everyone was respectful of noise and sharing the bathrooms (there are two full bathrooms, one on the main floor and one on the bedroom floor). The dogs were also cute and well-behaved!
As a native Portlander, I can attest to how amazing this place is. I stayed a couple nights with my girlfriend during the only snow/ice storm weekend in the last 6 years. When buses weren't running on schedule, I was able to walk back from Downtown with ease. Plenty of delicious restaurants within walking distance as well. The house was always warm and cozy and their shower is the best way to relax after a day of exploring.
The vibe here is very social and you feel right as home next to the hosts and other Airbnb'ers. They're so nice in fact that you actually feel bad causing so much noise from the squeaky staircase.
One point to note: while the house has Wifi, it was almost un-usably slow and choppy in our room. For someone visiting from outside the US, wifi is the only way to stay connected. But it may just force you to not stay cooped up in the room and actually have a conversation with the hosts!
Absolutely beautiful home! I wish I could give six stars just for that. Plus a super great central location if you plan on seeing different parts of the city. I would *highly* recommend anyone planning on visiting Portland to stay with Rose. I plan on staying again. THANKS!
Everything was clean, professional, and well-thought out. The house was gorgeous with a lot of space. Not only do we recommend it strongly, next time we drive up to portland, we'll be keeping an eye out for its availability.
My second stay here was as great as the first one. Rose and Scott are great hosts. The room is large, clean and the interior decoration is amazing. I highly recommend this place if you're looking to stay in Portland.
Rose was a great and welcoming host. The house and rooms are very comfortable and make you feel right at home. Would definitely stay again when I find myself in Portland.
I love Portland, and this house is a great way to visit. I will tell my friends to stay here!
