This beautiful warm and cozy apartment is ideally situated in down town Reykjavik. Close to the centre and the harbour but still away from down town noises. Bakery and a supermarket are just around the corner. Free parking close by.
I offer this newly renovated apartment close to both the old harbour area and the down town centre. The apartment is very bright and cosy and well taken care off. It has one begroom and a comfortable sleepng sofa in the living room. The apartment is perfect for a couple, but can also easily accommodate 4 people.
This place will set the perfect frame for your down town stay in Reykjavik.
The apartment is ideally located far away from the down town noises during weekends but still close to all the bars and restaurants.
Even though you are so close to the centre, the neighborhood is very calm and quiet. There is a supermarket and a bakery just around the corner.
This apartment can simply offer you the best of town.
There is a free parking space close to the apartment. You will have access to TV and wireless internet. You will also have the possibility to do your laundry.
Look forward to hosting you and hope to see you in Iceland.
House rules are quite simple. There are no pets allowed and this is a non smoking apartment. If you need to smoke please do it out side. Take care of the apartment and the furniture as it were your own that usually guarantees an apartment well taken care off:-)
Our stay was very simple. The directions to get in were clear, we had no problems while we were there, and the apartment was within walking distance of everything we wanted to do in Reykjavik. It's a quick cab ride from BSI, although it's very walkable is you don't have luggage or are backpacking. We made the trek several times to pick up/return our rental car.
Parking can be had our front, but you do have to pay ~100 kronas/hour between the hours of 6 pm and 9 am. This wasn't really a big deal because we were back late and gone early the one evening we had a car. The apartment is on the ground floor in the center of the city and Icelanders like to party late, so be aware if you want to sleep with windows open.
One thing worth mentioning is I misunderstood the two beds in the listing to mean the bedroom had two twins pushed together in the pictures. Instead, it meant there was one full bed and one sleeper sofa. My wife and I have trouble sleeping in a full bed, so we split up for half our stay. :-\
The kitchen was well stocked, with the exception of some basic items like paper towels and spices. We purchased our own from the shop down the street, so it was no problem. We left them behind for the next guests. :-)
We did find the apartment quite warm at rimes, but didn't bother to work out how to fix that or ask our host. There were two TV channels in English showing popular American shows, if that's your sort of thing.
All in all, we felt we got good value for our money and would recommend staying here.
Great apartment! Clean, comfortable, and the perfect location for our trip. We really enjoyed our stay here and Sjonni was very accommodating and quick to provide responses to any of our questions. Thank you very much for making our vacation so stress-free!
The apartment was really well located not far from the old Harbour and also close to the old town and tourist office. Felt very safe there too. The apartment was clean and very warm (had to find a way to turn down the heating) but lovely to come back to after a long and cold day out sight seeing. Close to lots of small cafes and restaurants all in walking distance. Also next to a hotel which made it easier for tour pick ups as they like to go to known hotels. Never met Sigurjon but key was available from a locked box with code, So was okay we arrived after midnight
Great place to stay in the city. There was 4 of us and Sigurjon was really helpful. It a lovely new flat, really comfy and well situated, just next to the best fish and chips in Reykjavik. Highly recommended.
