We had a wonderful time staying with a big group of family to celebrate my grandma's 90th birthday. Helen was truly accommodating--one air mattress deflated in the night and she had a new one dropped off the next day for us to use. Not every having used airbnb before, we weren't sure how it would all work, but this was simple and easy. So many lovely details in the home. My sister enjoyed running in the neighborhood. My whole family was very happy to stay at the A-Frame. Would definitely recommend to others.
The A-Frame home provided a perfect retreat weekend in beautiful surroundings. We enjoyed coffee on the balcony off the master bedroom while watching a pair of hawks, and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. The river was a short walk down the street, and we loved the wood burning fireplace in the living room. Hosts Helen and Wendell have created a home where modern kitchen and bathrooms blend with rustic spaces, including unique features like the metal tree art surrounding the stairwell.
This was a great home just outside of downtown. It was nice because it was in a pretty area and a short drive to anywhere we wanted to go. Nice clean home with everything we needed.
The house was spectacular and spacious and everything as described and Helen was so helpful. I will definitely use them again!
This house is very comfortable, clean and spacious, located in a rural subdivision near a lake yet it's a quick ride to the heart of Wichita. Helen was a gracious host and provided us with delicious farm-fresh eggs! There were 7 of us, flying in for a family celebration. The old folks took the enormous master bedroom with adjoining bath upstairs, while the other two couples, one with a toddler, took the downstairs bedrooms, each with their own bath. The kitchen was situated well, so that breakfast could be prepared for the early risers while others slept in due to jet lag. The large living room had comfy sofas and was a great place to relax, chat and watch TV. Pretty much every amenity was provided and we recommend this as a great place to stay, have a rural retreat and yet be very close to anything you want to do in Wichita. On our last day we even drove half an hour north into the Flint Hills and hiked, which was beautiful.

I am originally from Florida, met Wendell on a beach at McDill AFB, he is from Rose Hill just a couple of miles from where we live. We own a small metal art studio, two of our boys work with us.
