The sublet is a sunny studio apartment in the mission district in the
"The hippest block in SF" according to the utne reader.
There is one large room, a separate bathroom and a separate kitchen.
There are a lot of great coffee shops such as Four Barrel, Ritual, (website hidden)-Rite is nearby, an beautiful family owned grocery store. Bookstores-Modern Times and Dog Eared books.
Nearby Art Galleries include SOMARTS, Intersection for the Arts, Cell Space. I work at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts which is across the street from MoMA and it takes me 15 min to get to work.
Mission Delores is nearby as is Dolores Park, THE hipster hang out to drink coffee and pastries from Tartine and or eat ice cream from Bi Rite Creamery.
It is super easy to get around from my place. BART is one block away. Its a ten min ride to downtown.
The neighborhood is BIKE friendly. Bike lanes run down my street all the way to down town.
The best thing about my apartment is its location and the light.
The apartment is on a very busy street though, so it is loud.
This is like a graduate student's dorm room though, so if you want fancy, you might want to look elsewhere.
We had a hassle-free stay at Kara's. Great area and great for the price. It wasn't the fanciest of apartments, the street is loud and the futon is... well, a futon mattress. But all we really needed was somewhere clean and functional where we could drop our stuff and explore the city, and it was perfect for that. Thank you!
Overall our experience here was great. Great location and plenty of space. We spent most of the time out and about exploring SF so for the time we were there it was just to sleep. The sound here is not the best, the street can be loud and you are right on it. But the Mission is a great area to go out and explore so if that is what you are looking for, this is a great place for it.
Simple and nice place in a fun and lively location. Kara is super helpful.
Can't beat this location! In the THICK of the mission. Forget moments away. It's right there. The amenities are as advertised. It's really just a room with a bathroom and a kitchen. But it's great!
Best location in SF
Yes, it is not fancy, but you get to live like a local and it is tidy.
Best location possible, enjoy your stay and all the delicious food on the block!
I enjoyed Kara's apartment. It was I a great location, and the check-in process went smoothly (which as I've learned can be a real nightmare with some airbnb hosts). I didn't have enough time in SF, but I'd stay in this apartment again if I returned.
Kara is a lovely lady who was very responsive anytime that we had a question or problem. The only warning I have for visitors is that the apartment is VERY, very shabby, not clean and very grimy/messy. If you are OCD, then I would definitely NOT recommend it.
Wonderful location in the heart of SF's most interesting neighborhood. The apartment is very comfortable and the entire experience went without a bump. Highly recommend.
Staying at Kara's was great. Check in was easy and her place is right in the middle of everything!
