Swiss-Lanna Lodge – New guesthouse
The Buddha's Room is another of our cheapest rooms. Two single beds in a well-decorated, cosy and luminous wooden room, ideal for two friends willing to share an inexpensive but quality accommodation.
Sawasdee Jao! The Swiss-Lanna Lodge is a new guesthouse located between the main railway station (less than 2km or a 5min ride) and the Night Bazaar, in the heart of a residential area in Chiang Mai, on the shores of the Ping river (not far from the Holiday Inn and only a 15 minute ride to or from the airport – 7km – and 10 minutes from the Arcade Bus Terminal, 5km). Our genuine Thai house is the ideal place for you and your family to rest in. Toto, a native Thai, born in Chiang Mai, will welcome you. Toto speaks English and French.
Our guesthouse offers 3 amazing Deluxe bedrooms on the ground floor and upstairs, 4 charming Standard bedrooms, made entirely out of wood. You will be able to choose amongst the following community rooms and places on the premises: the upstairs patio a good meditating or reading place, the lounge to share your daily adventures, the ground floor patio where you can enjoy food and our delicious breakfasts, the lawn inviting you for a nap, and last but not least a garden allowing you to enjoy the sight of its blooming trees. High speed WiFi is available throughout our premises and in all rooms!
Interaction with Guests
My name is Toto. I'm a young English and French speaking Thai. It will be a pleasure to help you appreciate Chiang Mai, the city I was born in and where I grew up in Northern Thailand. I am running a new guesthouse, the Swiss-Lanna Lodge, located in a traditional wooden house in a peaceful place. Whenever business permits, I will be delighted being your guide.
Close to the Night Bazaar, Wat Ket and Sansai are neighborhoods where you will discover the Thai daily life, with two nearby markets and a wide choice of restaurants.
It is best to move by bicycle or motorbike. Or hire a tuk-tuk :) We organize your transfer on request. Otherwise, ask to join the Gymkhana Club in Rat U-thit Road. Then take Soi 2 in front; our guesthouse is located in the bottom of Soi 2.
Other Things to Note
Chiang Mai and its surroundings offer moult tourist activities. Our tour desk can advise you whether to visit the main sites around or more distant treks to meet the mountainous minorities (hill tribes).
Landmark is wandering in the historical city dotted with a myriad of Buddhist temples, as well as the Sunday Market , a craft night market every Sunday that transforms the historical center in the pedestrian streets. Many opt to visit the amazing long-neck-women or walks to scenic waterfalls and pleasant hot springs. The more active guests can indulge in tree climbing, to visit elephant camps or to rafting bamboo raft. Bravest are those who titillate the tigers of Tiger Kingdom...
Brighten your holidays by attending courses, eg cooking classes, Thai boxing (muay thai) or traditional massages.
