If you are looking for a welcoming, central and cheap room for your stay in Rome, you've found it!
If you are looking for a welcoming place, central and cheap for your stay in Rome, you have found it!
Location: my place is located at the "Pigneto", a historic neighborhood of Rome, central and close to the University La Sapienza and the central station. The area is well connected by public transport: just 50 meters walk away there is the tram station and bus. You need 10-15 minutes to get to Termini central station or to the old city town. If you want to walk in 40 minutes you can be at the Coliseum. Walking through the characteristic streets of Pigneto you'll meet people, bars and pubs and restaurants for all budgets. My guests can choose between the Ethiopian cuisine, Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Lebanese Colombians, but in most of the restaurants you will taste authentic italian food and the fantastic Roman pizza.
Accommodation: the apartment has been recently renovated, modernly furnished and equipped with all the comforts. The apartment where I live has 3 bedrooms spacious and functional, very isolated and quiet where you will find the appropriate confidentiality. There is a fully equipped kitchen with all you need: stove, espresso machine, microwave, kettle, fridge, cupboards . The highlight of the flat is definitely the bathroom: here you will find a spacious shower that will give you the due relaxation during your stay in the Eternal City. The modem of the latest generation offers a very fast WIFI internet connection. You will be amazed by the special attention that I devote to cleaning the apartment.
The Room: The Bed & Brandy is a very large room, cozy, colorful, and well furnished with a king size bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk, chairs, nightstands and everything you need to enjoy your Roman holiday. The room is very secluded from the noise, very well heated in winter and cool in summer (there is no need for air conditioning, trust me!). If you are 3 or 4 I have a good futon couch that can be comfortably accommodated in the same room, in addition to the master bed.
At guests' disposal: in the room linens, towels, soap, adapters for electric current; in the kitcheneverything to cook your breakfast; in the bathroom hairdryer and electric shaver.
In the apartment there is a very fast WIFI internet connection. Daily cleaning of the common spaces.
Breakfast is not included.
The check in and check out can be arranged according to the needs of both.
Guests receive the keys and can come and go as they pleased, in respect of the condominium and the other guests of the apartment, especially at night and early in the morning.
It is very important to make use of the common spaces (kitchen and bathroom) for the time necessary in order to allow also to the other hosts to use, and of course leave them as clean as before use.
I ask my guests to pay attention to the keys, not to answer the door or open the door to anyone.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay with Comasia. She is very sweet and helpful.
She provided a map as well as coffee and cookies.
Pigneto is a lot like Brooklyn, in my opinion. There are tons of bars, restaurants and cafes near the apartment and we even stumbled onto a place called Porchettoni, which I remembered, as we were eating our Porchetta paninis, was on "The Layover" with Anthony Bourdain. It was amazing and should not be passed up!
The laundry, supermarket and bus/trolley stop are all within a 5 minute walk.
Great apartment if you want to be within quick reach of the city but not in the center.
I had an amazing stay in Rome with Comasia. She made sure everything was perfect for my last night in Rome. She even made me cookies and tea. The best part too is that she knows the area very well. It is not in the main part of Rome but that is what I liked so much about it. It was a true Italian experience in a vibrant working-class neighborhood. I highly recommend staying here and experiencing a different side of Roma!
Firstly, Ms.Comasia was a great host, she made sure all her guest were comfortable and welcomed in here apartment. She had so many stories to tell and advise on how to manage the city. She also provided maps and guides amd detailed emails for every guests so from the beginning it was easy for me to managed by myself. Plus she made me cookies which was great! Secondly, the apartment was great, the room was just as described, spacious, cool or warm of you need to, there was fresh lenins and toiletries, Selections of tea and coffee, the bed was big i could just roll over it, full use of a well equipt kitchen and a big well maintained bathroom with hot water, the house is always clean and fresh so after an animated day in rome you can always come home relax and happy. Also it is well connected to the city by bus or tram so youll never have to worry about transportation or time, plus the area pigneto boast cool and wonderful shops and restaurant that you never have to go to the city to shop and eat all are within reach. I am so greatful that i was able to stay at Ms.Comasia's place and whenever im in rome im sure ill booked to stay at her place in i can, highly recommended. :)
Comasia was great. Her place was just what we needed for our short stay in Rome. She was incredibly flexible with our short 1.5 day stay. The bed was comfortable. Her cookies were great. She knows the city incredibly well and made transportation and directions incredibly easy and affordable for us. She is kind and welcoming and very trusting of us, providing a key to her apartment so we could have access to it as we needed. I recommend staying with her to anyone.
Comas is a very friendly host. Her apt is about 20min away from Termini by tram. Very quiet and safe nano uphold. She welcome me at home and answered all my questions about transportation and nice restaurants nearby.
