Erik's Beach trailer suited us really well. Great location, lovely site with ocean and bay, sunset and sunrise just a few steps away. Lots of help swiftly on hand if needed from Eric and also Tracy in the office and helpful neighbors too. Trailer v well-equipped and comfortable with good air con. Hunt around and you will surely find what you need. Everything from clothes pegs two cooking oil, bug spray to barbecue. Need to mention that bed is four foot six ins and high off the ground so not suitable for very overweight people.Trolley bus very useful and reliable. Thank you Eric for a great vacation.

Erik’s little place has a great location, close to the narrowest part of the island; the beach is right across the street and the bay is 3 blocks the other direction. The community is safe and quiet (I left the door unlocked all week), and Erik responds quickly to inquiries and is easy to work with. All in all, a nice island experience.

Erik's vintage cottage was clean and well stocked . The bed was very comfortable and the towels were soft . My vary favorite things were all the great beach items and of course the beach across the street .

Erik was very easy to work with and very informative. The rental met my needs perfectly. All you need to do is go buy a few groceries. All the staples for eating and beach going are already there. Beach is right across the street and Trolley is just a few steps away. Check out #202 :)

We loved our week at Erik's mobile home. It is so handy to the beach and there is everything there - beach towels, chairs, a trolley to take everything down, etc. It is a small unit - bedroom very small but luckily lots of room under the bed to store luggage. The kitchen is so well equipped with everything anyone would need. Erik is very responsive to any problems. Wifi in the unit is excellent. Neighbours are really friendly in this very attractive park. There is a laundry room in the complex with plenty of machines and a huge clothes line so we didn't miss having them in our unit . Proximity to Publex and restaurants is great. There is not much outside space for sitting as the area beside the trailer is shared with the neighbours ( who weren't there at the time). Overall a wonderful week.

Erik communicated with us quickly and was very responsive to our needs. The property was as described on the site. It was very clean and stocked with all of the necessities, but also some unexpected and welcoming touches, such as a very nice bottle of Chardonnay in the fridge, as well as some other beverages, some snacks, as well as everything we needed for morning coffee. There were beach chairs, an umbrella and beach bags too. The community it was located in was convenient to the beach and the other residents were friendly.

Hi, I'm your host, Erik MacPeek. I am a creative consultant-graphic designer with skills in renovation carpentry – frequently put to good use maintaining the rental listings here on AirBnB. Since we began listing our properties on the site, we have met all kinds of great people along the way!

Originally from southeastern Connecticut, I now live full-time in Tampa, Florida, with my Floridian wife, 3 kids and various pets. We love to travel and explore the world together and with our children, from the Caribbean to China! In the summer, we always migrate up to New England to spend time with family, friends and enjoy the New England coastline and great seafood! There in Stonington – on the southeastern Connecticut coastline – we all try to congregate each summer on my family's 100 year-old summer retreat called Sea Acres. It consists of three cottages on four acres, looking out over a salt-marsh cove and across Fisher's Island and Long Island Sounds. We are backed by a nature conservancy, and love the wildlife we see there every day (chipmunks, dozens of bird species, woodchucks, skunk, fox, deer and an occasional coyote).

In Florida we also have listed 2 little vintage beach trailers on the coastal barrier island of Anna Maria, with white powdery sand beaches. Those are often available summer through fall on Airbnb, but they are always booked a year in advance for the winter months when all the snowbirds come down to flee the cold weather.

As a creative person and stickler for details, I make sure my rentals are unique, comfortable and well stocked. My feeling is that people appreciate the small details, like nice dishes and linens, good hospitality and a little snack when they first arrive. These were not furnished or decorated for the rental market, but as our second homes, and they have unique touches throughout, including pieces such as my great grandmother's sea chest from Ireland, grandpa's ship's wheel and my wife's grandmother's walnut table.

We are gardeners both here and in New England, and over the years have planted more than 1,000 daffodil bulbs at the Stonington, CT property, a real sight to see in early spring.

We have very much enjoyed working with Airbnb, and use them ourselves when we travel. My recent trip to Norway included staying in a fabulous AirBnB apartment near downtown Oslo. It was in a great historic area just a 10 minute walk from downtown... fantastic.

Enjoy your stay and please sign the guest book!
