The Nickels made us feel very welcome. The house has a great deal of charm and is well-located. Very clear instructions were left for everything in the house. We were very comfortable there.
A remarkable and magical place! We had such a beautiful stay and felt right at home. We all (including two young kids) felt so well cared for. The hosts treat you like guests at a true BnB, leaving snacks, notes and breakfast. We will absolutely come back to visit!!
Rick & Barb are wonderful hosts who open up their home and make you feel so comfortable. The accommodations are spacious and private while still having access to the kitchen. Having your own fridge and coffee maker are terrific. The location is convenient to the airport, major roads and downtown. There are several lovely spots for enjoying the outside and the waterway behind the home.
Eventhough we had a short stay we felt very much at home at Richard's and Barbara's.
They have been wonderful hosts, sharing parts of their house like it was our own, quite a wonderful experience.
We vry much appreciate the open door policy, the garden and the deck at the waterfront, the dogs (who were as loving as their owners), the private sitting area in the Libaray and the abundant space in the bed rooms.
On a more business like note, the house is easy to find, very near the exits of the main highways around West Palm Beach.
Next time when we need a place to stay in the Palm Beach area it will definately be here.
I rented this home to accommodate myself and a good friends out of town guests after the death of his mother. At first, I really wanted a place where we could rent the entire house, but I was very glad to have rented the place, and was glad that Richard and Barb were there to help host the out of town guests.
They allowed us to have a 10 person dinner there on the first nght, and for everyone to get together there after the funeral. IT was charming, relaxing, and very nice to sit out on the water and watch water-skiers going by. The friendly dogs and homemade honey were both fabulous. The rooms were comfortable, and if you wanted to have your privacy you could.
All of the guest, many whom I had just met, thanked me profusely for finding this gem of a place. Affordable, close to Downtown West Palm Beach, and a world away from stress and pressure. Richard and Barb not only helped by serving a continental breakfast, they helped set up the dinner table and helped guest get situated. I enjoyed the place and the hosts - it could not have been better.
Our stay with Richard and Barb was extremely nice. Their house was just as pictured and they were as welcoming as anyone could be. I would recommend their place anytime you want great southern charm while visiting the West Palm area.
"We enjoy our Florida Lifestyle, boating, fishing, scuba diving, just sitting out in the yard of a January evening soaking up a warm breeze! We love our special place in the sun and we want to share it with you! While we are at it we want to visit your special places too! "Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, scotch in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming, WOOHOO what a ride!"
