This house was renovated in 2010, everything is brand new! The house has 3 bedrooms. The first is the master bedroom with a queen size bed and a private bathroom with jacuzzi tub, the second has a full size bed, and the third has two twin size beds. There is an additional 2nd bathroom upstairs for all guests to use. The bedrooms have a lot of natural light, and high vaulted ceilings with exposed beams and ceiling fans with a remote for the light switch.
There are hardwood floors throughout the house, and everything is decorated very neutral. There is a large flat screen TV in the living room with cable and a blueray player, and there are built in surround sound speakers in the ceiling of the first floor. There is a great gas fireplace that just requires the flip of the switch. The kitchen is large, perfect for entertaining and there are all the pots/pans/blender etc needed to cook a great meal. There is a built in booth with a flat screen tv for use, and a gas Weber grill and a small charcoal grill on the back patio.
No need to look for Chicago street parking here. The home has a driveway that can accomodate 3 cars. Have a glass of wine on the front porch or a beer on the back patio with firepit for your enjoyment. A tree was recently cut down so there is plenty of firewood to use for your party. The home sits on a double lot, which gives you and your group plenty of space for activies in the yard.
The home features cable and wireless internet , a necessity to us these days and there is a washer and dryer for your use upstairs. All sheets and towels are provided for you so there is no need to bring your own. This would be a pefect place for someone who needs temporary housing while relocating, or a perfect place for a short vacation to come and explore the city.
Home features the famous "Moustache Mirror", try it out, take photo, and send to your friends!
The blue line train is the nearest stop and it'll take you straight downtown or to ohare airport. If you are driving, this is a good location because it is near 90/94 to get in or out of the city very easily. If you're planning on going to a Cubs game or spending time in Wrigleyville, the house is a two minute walk from Addison ave, you can hop on a bus there and go straight down the road to the bars, stadium, restaurants, etc. Chicago is a very easy city to drive, and can get to the magnificant mile in 20 minutes.

I stayed in Julie's house for a week visiting home from LA. The house is much larger and more beautiful than the pictures. She has everything you need to live there and it is at a nice rate. 100% satisfied
We had a perfect family holiday at Julie's house. My elderly parents found her guest room comfortable and convenient. They were able to manage all the stairs (inside and outside) safely due to the very sturdy railings.
We enjoyed many large meals together and the dining room table accommodated over 10 of us at times with friends and family from the Chicago area joining us. The open floor plan worked well as we all hung out, cooked, played games, and watched football.
The snow did not cause any problems, snow scoops and salt were provided and at one time someone came by and shoveled for us.
Very helpful to have the driveway at times when all street parking was taken.
We appreciated the washer and dryer for a few loads of laundry. Also took advantage of the few games and jigsaw puzzles from the house collection.
We would readily rent from Julie again.
Julie's house is wonderful. We celebrated both Thanksgiving and Christmas here. It has a great kitchen and large family dining space.
We parked at the Addison stop and took the blue line into the city a number of times but also enoyed the nearby restaurants that Julie recommended.
My adult family met up at Julie's so we could stay together while attending my nephew's wedding. The house is beautiful and surprisingly spacious, especially for Chicago. Although all 3 bedrooms upstairs are very nice, the master is huge with a walk-in closet and an in-room bathroom sporting double sinks, jacuzzi and walk-in shower. The only thing I could possibly have wished for was a king sized bed.
The downstairs is open yet very inviting and includes an office and powder room with a well appointed kitchen with dining spaces at the counter, in a large breakfast nook and at a very large dining room table. The pre-wedding dinner party my sister arranged was a fabulous affair with a fire in the fireplace and music of our choosing playing from the overhead speakers. It was heavenly!
There was a short period of panic for me when we tried to show my nephew the listing of where we were going to be staying and found it had been temporarily deleted from the system. The folks at Airbnb were very kind and assured me it was an erroneous system issue and assured me Julie is one of their best clients. Although she was overseas, communications with Julie directly, both before and during our stay, was exemplary.
Another great Airbnb experience and now my entire family is turned onto them too!
Julie and her beautiful house made this the perfect first airbnb experience. Julie was extremely responsive to all my many questions. The house itself was beautiful, super clean, with more than enough space for 6 adults, a baby, and a very active 3 year old. (Even though it was raining, she had enough room to run up, down, and around the open concept living/dining/kitchen area.) The experience makes me want to use airbnb again, and I would definitely book Julie's house again if it's available for the next time I'm in Chicago.
Julie's home is amazing! It looks beautiful from the photos, but it was even more comfortable, spacious and lovely in person.
We were a party of 4, and we needed 3 beds, 3 bedrooms and at least 2 bathrooms (this house has 2.5 baths) to get ready for work each morning. This house was absolutely perfect for our working weekend in Chicago.
The recommendations that she graciously left for local attractions, restaurants (both dine in and take out) were perfect and we took a few of them to great delight. The home is located on a quiet block, on a surprisingly large plot, especially for an urban Chicago neighborhood. There is ample parking for 2 cars on the property as well, so there is never a need for street parking hunts either.
Getting in was easy, and the house is just spectacular. We will look Julie's home up again the next time that we are in Chicago for sure. Thank you so much Julie!
My family and I found the house to be perfect for all our needs. We traveled with two small children and the home was very baby proof and has a large backyard which is nice. The house is also in a perfect location. We rented cars and everything was at most only a 30 minute drive. I highly recommend borrowing the cooler and fold up chairs at Julie's home and heading to millennium park to see a free concert. We would stay at The house again if we visit Chicago in the future.
This was our repeat stay here and the accommodation was just as perfect for us the the second time around. No complaints!
Everything was as promised and advertised. Julie ensured her home was set up and ready for us to stay in for our vacation. We couldn't have asked for anything else as all our needs were catered for. Her home was handy to public transport, well appointed and clean and tidy.
Julie's place is a real home form home. 'a real house'. Everything is clean and everything available works... Perfect.
We met the cleaning team also when we arrived and they were very friendly and could tell they do a good job of keeping the place refreshed for move in' and out's.
The bus stop is just a few blocks away and connects with the blue & red lines as well as a few others we found whilst exploring - depends on where you want to go or are coming back from. If you haven't got a car we found the K mart easy to lug bags from just next to the Blue Line at Addison and then jump on the bus home...
Taxis a re easy too - we ordered one on line (yellow) and it worked great.
