This clean and spacious house is located within walking distance to Historic Haiku Town Center. The Town Center is now the hub of this growing and bustling rural community. With great restaurants serving Hawaiian, vegetarian, sushi, Thai & American cuisine, there is something to choose from for everyone. Haiku also offers a a full service gym, grocery stores, Post Office, Doctors office & clinic, day spas and much more!
Located on the North Shore of Maui, Haiku has become one of the sought after places to live and vacation. It provides easy access to all the different scenic spots, attractions and activities that Maui has to offer, and you really get a feel for how the locals live.
My house is fully furnished and very nicely appointed with an island theme. With 3 bedrooms and 1 & 1/2 baths, it has a spacious living room, kitchen area, one king bed, one queen bed & one twin bed. Located on a nice cul-de-sac right in the heart of town, we are a 10 minute drive to Hookipa Beach Park, which is an Internationally famous surfing, kite surfing & windsurfing spot. Haiku is also on the road to beautiful Hana, which is a must see destination. There are many places to explore on our beautiful island form amazing beaches, jungles and waterfalls, as well as our majestic 10,000 ft volcano, Mt Haleakala which translated means "House of the Sun".
I know you will be very comfortable here in my spacious up-counrty Maui home. Wifi is available but there is no TV. Haiku Hale, which means "Haiku House, is a lovely place to come home to relax in after a full day of exploring the island. There is public transit here in Haiku that connects you to strategic spots on the island, but to really see and enjoy all the beautiful and out of the way places, a rental car is a must.
I know that you will fall in love with the island just like I did 42 years ago. I look forward to sharing my home with you!
A Hui Hou!

We loved Lisa's home in Haiku! We stayed here for a month and got to pretend we lived on Maui. Great neighborhood to feel part of the community and we could walk to the main intersection of Haiku for delicious Thai truck, taco truck, Colleen's for breakfast, Maui Kombucha and Nuka Sushi. Spent a lot of time at Baldwin Beach and the quiet side, Baby Beach, with our toddler son. We were so happy to be away from the hotels and condo tourist side of the island, yet we felt we had the best base to explore everywhere. House was very comfortable and we used the grill and the Ninja Juicer a lot! Tim, the agent, was extremely helpful with local insights, recommendations and even loaned us his binoculars and bocci set. We hope to be back next year!
My January 2014 3-night stay at Lisa's Haiku Hale was a wonderful start to my 11-day stay on Maui. Very clean, comfortable, attractive, in a quiet location that helped me slow down and adjust to Maui's pace. Haiku Town, a self-contained gem of a place that offered many delights and warm folks. Naku', a wonderful Japanese/Sushi restaurant, just two minutes walk. GO!! Massage and other personal services centered in Haiku!
Lisa's Manager Tim was a wealth of info and guidance, help prioritizing choices, insider tips, etc., not to mention a warm, welcoming first connection in Maui.
For me, time out and about, away from my accommodation was a priority in my first few days. But coming home to comfort and ease was critical, so housing complemented the important experiences of adventure. Haiku' Hale welcomed me nightly with a perfect atmosphere for immediate relaxation.
Totally convenient whether I needed last minute food items, veggie treats at Veg Out, great coffee at Colleen's, so comfortably set just five minutes from Paia, Makawao, Haliimaile/Hui No'eau Visual Arts Center, and such a short drive to Haleakala National Park, Kula, and Ulupalakua Ranch. And when city things mattered, Kahului was an easy drive.
Lisa's Haiku Hale was the gateway to my later five nights stay in Hana on the far east end of Maui. And don't let anyone scare you from the Hana Highway drive on the north shore, or from the at times slower and even more striking (to me) south shore drive back. Take it all in!
If there was one thing I wish I had done more ahead of time, it would have been to ask more questions and learn more about explorations and off-the-beaten-path opportunities all around the area.
Mahalo nui loa Lisa! Aloha.
Lisa's house is perfect, very clean! And Tim is a very very kind person! He prepared a crib for my baby and introduced a lot of place of interest to us. He spent a lot of time to help us~ He is so nice and friendly, and we really appreciate it!
My boyfriend and I had a great Christmas holiday at Lisa's place!
We traveled from Honolulu to Maui, spent 3 days on the island. The house is located in Haiku, a quite small town in the center north. It's close to Kahului Airport (20 minutes Drive) and the historical Paia town( 10 minutes Drive). It's a convenient location for trip to Hana and Mt Heleakala. However, a little bit far from the centralized hotel and resort areas (Lahanai and Kihei). If you want to escape the city and get a close touch with the nature, this would be a perfect place to stay!
The house is very spaces( 3 bd) clean and comfortable. Agent Tim is very helpful explaining local attractions. We were unprepared and knows nothing about Maui when first arrived. He gave us a great three days plan. Thanks Tim and Lisa for the fantastic vacation!
We got a great stay at Lisa's!
We stayed 7 nights there, and it was the place wide, clean, comfortable, cozy and everything-equipped. It is not a vacation rental or condos but a single-story real house to feel Maui. It is located in Haiku - not crowded and clean small town, and it is convenient to visit Hana and Haleakala Mt.
Especially agent Tim made our stay more perfect. He was informative, warm-minded, kind and humorous. He supported me to be a Santa for my children on Christmas and he even set a cute Christmas tree for our children, so we could spend unforgettable holidays. Now I'm staying at Kailua-Kona, and our family members are missing Maui and Lisa's.
My husband and I had a wonderful time at Lisa's place. (And our friend too) This place was just look like its AD. Very clean and everything that we expected was there in good conditions. Only downside for us was location. It is little bit far away from mild beach area where a lot of tourist could enjoy. (less wave, renting water gears stores.) However, for some people it would be perfect if they want to have very relaxing time and enjoy driving. Around Lisa's place there were a big grocery store and restaurants in walking distance. Lisa's agent, Tim, was very helpful for us. He gave us many information what we can do around its area and also overall in Maui. I am highly recommend Lisa's place if you have a big family and want to have relaxing time in Maui.
