Hello, I'm renting a room in the Mile End, Montreal's best neighborhood. The apartment is ideally situated just one street away from shops, coffehouses, restaurants, bars. Yet the place is really quiet, and the room is in the back of the house. It has a new double mattress and base. The house has two balconies, it is a sunny top floor. Internet, cable, street parking, washing machine and full kitchen and bbq, towels, sheets hairdryer provided.
Bixi station and bus 55 on St-Laurent 'The Main' one corner away. 5mn from Laurier Metro and bus 55 on Parc ave.
Please note that the street view is not accurate (we don't have a construction site in front of the house). We are North of Fairmount st.
Preference to guests with full airbnb profile and recommendations. I am happy to give you pointers and recommendations on Montreal's art scene, restaurants, festivals, clubs and staple foods.
Regular rules of courtesy apply. For example, be mindful of the neighbors when passing in the staircase, quiet after 11pm, leave the room as clean as found. You can leave towels on the floor or hanging in the room. Don't worry about making the bed when you leave, as I'll undo it to wash the sheets. Top door remains unlocked or opened. Each lock of the bottom door opens with the key, I usually just lock the top one.
We had a lovely stay at M's place and she was a gracious host. Mile's end really is a great part of town, and we found everything from great bread to a small rock climbing gym, to excellent ice cream. M was happy to give us tips on where to go, though we didn't actually see her that much because she was mostly out when we were around. The bed was also comfortable.
M, was great to stay with her. The place is simple, casual and suited my needs. Her apartment is easily accessible to many cafes, shopping and local metro station. She is chill and communicates as needed. Would recommend staying with her if you are in Montreal, affordable place and lovely host.
My stay at Maroussia place was really enjoyable....although I didn't get to see her more than 10 minutes. The little balcony off the front room was an enjoyable spot to sit in the evenings, sipping some local Montreal brews and watching all the bikers cruise by. Also very convenient that the bike station is right out the front door...as well as an amazing bakery I couldn't keep out of. The apt is really close to lots of fun cafes/bars/shops as well that you can easily spend the weekend browsing through. It was my first visit to the city of Montreal but won't be my last. Don't miss the Jean-Talon market....wow so much great fresh stuff.
The reservation was canceled 26 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
This place rules! Maroussia is so friendly, accommodating and really great to talk to. She also knows the area well and gives great recommendations for neighborhoods spots. Everything's in close proximity to the place, and I was able to walk almost everywhere. There's also a Bixi bike station right out front and the Laurier stop is close for traveling to different parts of the city. I spent a lot of time in the Mile End during my stay though, just because of its proximity to awesome things to eat and do. Plenty of places to get coffee, pastries and all things delicious. I can't wait to go back!
