Our Yosemite Four Seasons camper is set up for you on seven acres of private land in Loveland that we have named "Seven Meadows". Reservations are restricted to warm weather months and in Colorado we would consider May through October as being the best months for good camping and access to this property. The camper has a king size bed with an extended foam mattress, a full size bed with a foam mattress and a single bed if table area is utilized for sleeping. The camper can sleep four to five guests comfortably depending on size and age. There are privacy shades and screens on real glass windows. Four guests can sit comfortably on bench seating around the table. There is running cold water, a sink, propane gas stove and battery operated lights. The camper is equipped with pillows, sheets, blankets and quilts, towels, paper products and your basic camping supplies.
The seven acre property provides you with a place to play, walk, star gaze, have a camp fire (providing there are no restrictions), grill, play horseshoes, frisbee toss, or swing in a vintage lawn swing. The area is host to some wetlands, marsh, meadow and open prairie grass. There is a driveway and plenty of space for parking a vehicle. We have also built a solar composting toilet which is located near the camping site. This is rustic camping and there is no shower or bathhouse. Loveland does however have a wonderful recreational facility where for a small fee you can swim, work out, enjoy a hot tub and sauna and have access to their bathhouse.
Our "Seven Meadows" is surrounded on three sides by residential housing. You will feel like you are in a private park like setting with minimal city noise. For those of you who have an affinity to trains, the tracks lie adjacent to this property and are actively used. Yes, you may even hear the rumble of a locomotive at night.
You will be within close driving distance to everything that Loveland has to offer; theater, shopping, art sculptor studios and parks, coffee shops, dining and microbreweries. Loveland can also be a great home base for visiting Rocky Mountain National Park and area cities of Fort Collins, Greeley, Longmont and Boulder. You can find many levels of hiking and biking, depending on your interests.
We will be available to help answer questions and get you settled, otherwise we will respect your privacy.
The best way to get around Loveland is by car. There are bike trails throughout the city and taxis are also available.
Mary and Vern are the kindest hosts that I have had the pleasure of purchasing lodgings from. The camper was clean, well maintained, and comfortable. The property was very well maintained, beautiful, and had many amenities (grill, fire pit, fire wood, bench seating, games, etc.). Mary and Vern even have organic eggs for sale, which was a huge plus for my party. The property is nestled in the city of Loveland which gives you access to many restaurants, grocery stores, and gas stations. This is a fantastic location if you are wanting to go to Rocky Mountain National Park as it is only 28 miles (1 hour) away. I strongly recommend anyone to stay at Mary and Vern's property. My wife and I would not hesitate to stay again.
What a great experience I've had both staying in Vern and Mary's home and also in their popup camper. It's a great place to escape the rat race without having to travel very far. The 7 acre property is beautiful and very well maintained. I'll definitely be back over the summer. They are a very accommodating couple and two of the nicest people you'll meet. Thank you Vern and Mary.
Mary and Vern were perfect hosts. I arrived somewhat later than I had originally expected. Communications were very timely. Upon arriving they quickly took me to the location of their camper. It was cool beyond my expectations. I can honestly say that the three days at their site was one of my best AirBnB experiences that I have had so far (I have stayed in about a dozen different locations of all sorts). It was wonderfully relaxing.
The camper was very comfortable, and I loved sitting down my the little stream, having a campfire, and walking around the property looking at all the plants. The variety of birds is amazing. I stayed up until about 3:00AM one morning watching some kind of owl hunt, flying from tree to tree (an enormous, beautiful bird). Also, my son and his girlfriend who live nearby came by and we cooked out and played horseshoes.
The train that comes by woke me up but it does not last very long and a small price to pay to have such a beautiful place to stay.
If you stay with Mary and Vern there is a fantastic city rec center in Downtown Loveland where you can work out and shower.
