Beautiful home sleeps up to 8, 1/2 mile walk to secluded beach, incredible views, gorgeous pool and landscaped grounds. 10 minutes to town (Playa Samara). Tropical fruit trees, exotic fauna and a tranquil setting. Mini-super market just minutes away.

The space
Designed by architect Erik Reise for maximum privacy and to catch the cool ocean breezes, Quinta de la Paz sits atop a bluff which is surrounded by gardens, fruit trees, and nature.
Ocean and Mountain views abound as do all manner of flora and fauna. Watch exotic birds and Howler monkeys from the patio or while lounging in the azure blue infinity edge pool.

Guest access
Ocean, Mountain, Mangrove forest, and Pastoral views. An absolutely incredible setting in Playa Buena Vista, Esterones. 30 minutes to the fishing port of Carillo, and 10-30 minutes to world class surfing beaches on the road north to Nosara. The property is 800 meters from the beach which is a short stroll down a small country lane. Our property also borders on a Green Conservation Area called Reserva Bilologica Lomas Barbudal.
Recreational activities are extensive and varied: sport fishing, surfing, hiking, swimming, bird watching, ultralight tours, sightseeing tours, kayaking …the list goes on!

Other things to note
There are many things to do around the area so once you have had your fill of relaxing at the pool, long leisurely strolls on Playa Buena Vista, and communing with nature by the patio get yourself up and out. Costa Rica has endless possibilities! World Class surfing, surfing lessons, kayaking tours, beachcombing, turtle tours, canopy excursions, hiking, biking, sightseeing, visiting galleries full of local art and craft, and the food…oh the food, you’ll never have fresher! Ok the coffee…world class! We would need pages to describe all of the wonderful things there are to do and explore. Both the towns of Samara and Nosara offer a wide variety of shops and restaurants with many operated by expats from Europe and the US.
OUR DRIVEWAY is VERY STEEP. You may also park at the bottom and walk up. There are plenty of spaces to park at the top and at the bottom.

Where you’ll be

Sámara, Guanacaste, Costa Rica

Buena Vista beach is secluded and peaceful with very few visitors and is often safe for swimming, surfing, and fishing. The beach is a Turtle sanctuary and thus is protected from the hyper development that has plagued the northern coast of the Nicoya peninsula.  There is also a bird sanctuary adjacent to beach along the estuary offering an opportunity to see very rare and colorful winged friends. There is a wide variety of local flora and fauna. The area is very green and tranquil.
