Apartament in the center of the city, with two bed-rooms and two bathrooms a kitchen and a big living-room. It's closed to S Domenic's place and S Severo chapel (50mts) and Gesù Nuovo place (100mts).It's the ideal for the people that want to stay in the place with the possibility to visit Naples without taking bus or taxi .
Disappointed, while the apartment was large and within walking distance to many sites and the railway ,the apartment was a let down. The pictures show a lovely well furnished place however one of the two toilets was broken the other had an active leak. One shower was hanging of the wall the other was used as a storage room. The furnishings were in need of a good clean there was moldy food in the fridge and the kitchen was full of empty beer and wine bottles(must have been a hell of a party) There was no tv as advertised and the kitchen wall was covered in graffiti (the crude large drawing of a man and appendage did not go down well with my family) Not recommended Do not believe the pictures.
When we arrived Gennaro was very helpful in directing us to the apartment and also gave us a wonderful tour around the neighborhood. It is located in the heart of the historic district which is a great section of the city. The area is full of exciting street life, wonderful historic churches and museums. The apartment was simply furnished and a good value for the money.
We arrived a little earlier then expected but it seemed that Gennaro was ready to bring us the the keys regardless. His place is pretty large and has 2 sleeping rooms one of which we used. According to him (and the cross vault ceiling kind of proves it) the building once served as sleeping rooms for the monks of the church you see out of the window.
There is a kitchen and clean bathrooms which you can use. Gennaro got us the keys and some really helpful information along with it. He hand drew a map and we were able to bolt right into Napoli's craziness. Awesome place. I get why some people are unsure about it, but I can say if you like it edgy this is the place. If no one has called it that yet. I do so now: Napoli is the Berlin of the South.
