Maria was lovely. Great location and nice neighborhood with cafes and restaurants. The apartment was really nice and had an awesome courtyard. I wish we stayed 4 nights instead of just 2 as the next place we stayed at wasn't nearly as good.
Definitely stay here.
We had a very nice time in Maria's apartment - Maria was very welcoming and made sure that we had everything we needed, even providing tea and coffee. The apartment is very close to the centre of Athens and you can walk to all the main attractions from there.
Maria is a great host all correspondence was quick and easy. She met us and walked us around the local area, and provided us with a map and details for the tourist sites. The apartment is exactly as described (outside terrace a huge bonus) and the area it is great, just off the tourist route, in a charming and safe local neighbourhood. Walking distance to the main sites (15 mins) and also the metro (8 mins). A choice of 8-10 eateries and bars/coffee shops as well as a local shop for all your needs. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Last week we stayed at the Courtyard apartment in Athens. Although the weather was pretty cold we had a great time. It took us a few days to get the apartment a bit warm. The central heating was only switched on during evening hours but fortunately the separate heating worked well. The kitchen is very well-equipped; bathroom is a bit small but manageable. According to our son he slept better on the couch in the living room than in his own bed at home. He was also very happy with the WiFi and Dutch football on TV. Good bed in separate bedroom with a lot of cupboards.
During our stay we had regular contact with Maria via e-mail. The information she left for us at the apartment (like maps, guides, books) was very helpful. The apartment is located on a good spot, at walking distance from all the tourist attractions and metro/tram.
Because of the cold weather we haven't been able to enjoy the courtyard.
Maria, thanks again for a lovely stay in Athens. Warmest regards from the Netherlands. Bruno, Erna and Twan
Maria welcomed us at her apartment and showed us all the key features, alot of time and effort had gone into making guests feel very welcome
Maria is an exellent haust! The appartment was very clean and organised and Maria sent us an email every day to ask how we were doing and if we needed anything even though we were well famillair in the neigberhood.
The apartment is an easy 15-minute walk to the Acropolis and just a few minutes from a street with nice-looking cafés, bars and restaurants. It's a good spot if you're in town for a few days.
The apartment is quite large for two people, and there is a comfortable futon in the living room. The kitchen is perfect for cooking. The bathroom is a bit small, but handily has a washing machine.
It's a nice apartment, with a lovely little terrace out back. Worth a visit.
