The apartment has been completely renovated and all furniture is top quality kit, so you should find everything you need for your stay.
The apartment has 2 large double bedrooms, both with designer furniture and carpeted. The main bedroom is ensuite with a shower whilst the flat has a further main bathroom with bath and shower.
The entrance hall has 2 further rooms; one a large storage and coat room and then a further laundry room with washing machine.
The living/dining area benefits from a 6 person leather L shape sofa, designer glass coffee table and glass dining table fitting 6. We allow a maximum of 6 guests in any one visit.
There are patio doors off the living area to a Juliette balcony looking over the waterside and right over the East of Manchester to the Peak District. Look to your left and you can see the impressive Ethiad Stadium.

MORE ABOUT GETTING IN SAFELY .....
There are three different security codes to get into each level of the apartment building. These are provided once you have booked. There is a key for the apartment front door and spares are provided.
- ARRIVING BY TRAIN:
The apartment building is 3 mins walk from Manchester Piccadilly platforms. When arriving to Manchester Piccadilly, exit the station on the same level of platforms 1 to 12 at the rear of the station heading towards the City. The road you walk down is Station Approach and at the bottom on the right you'll see Cafe Nero (and on the opposite corner the Malmaisson Hotel). Take a right at Nero and this is Ducie Street. You'll pass The Place Apartment Hotel on your right. The next building on the right is Ducie Wharf. Walk to the end of the building, with The Green Sports Bar on the ground floor and turn right onto Jutland Street, with the entrance to the apartment building on the right.
- ARRIVING BY CAR:
There are 2 car parks in very close proximity and several more you can freely choose.
The first is an open-air large car park to the rear of Ducie Wharf. My advice is to park up outside the apartment entrances, unload into the apartment (but keep someone with the car as parking officers can be over-keen in Manchester) then drive the car around. To get to the open-air car park, which is on Store Street, head down Ducie Street away from the station and take the first right down Jutland Street (cobbled street with a large down hill). At the Bottom turn right and then right again into the car park. This is the ‘cheaper’ option for parking and whilst I can’t guarantee your car will remain perfectly safe, I parked my nice vehicle in the street bays for 5 years (with a residents pass) and never had any issues. Its £6.50 and you need cash, as they don’t take card.
A more expensive option is just around the corner (you can see the building from the street – with you back to the entrance to the Green Sports Bar, look over to the right and you’ll see a large grey building with a TCS Car Park Sign). It is manned 24hrs and its an indoor car park and costs about £15 per 24 hours. To get there, simply go down Ducie Street, follow it round as the road curves to the left, then curves to the right and take the first left hand turn onto Tariff Street - the entrance is on the left. You can’t go wrong, as it’s so close to the apartment building.
Interaction with Guests
Although centrally located, you can’t find a more tranquil urban space in any city, with the apartment block nestled in the Piccadilly Basin Canal complex. Please see the photos.
Whilst you’re only 5 mins walk away from the hustle and bustle of the Northern Quarter, Spinningfields and Canal Street, to name but a few (there is little need to muck about with a cab if you're fit and able to walk home!), you are assured of a peaceful nights sleep.
As hosts we will give you space to enjoy your trip. That said we are always on-hand before you visit to help you plan your stay, or if you have any problems whilst with us - just give us a shout.

The apartment couldn’t be better placed to suit the Manchester visitor or regular business traveller. Malmaisson, Hilton Doubletree, Premier Inn, Max apartments and Abode Hotel are within 200 yards of Ducie Wharf, paying testament to its location.
It takes 3 mins to walk from Manchester Piccadilly allowing quick access from the train station, easy even with heavy luggage. At the end of the road is a large taxi rank allowing you to get out and about quickly if you’re in a rush, or to prevent a drenching in the rain if heading to another part of town.
Manchester is not a big place and you can walk to the other side of the City in 20mins, unless taking a leisurely pace, which can be quicker than a cab in rush hour.
Further along is a 24-hour Spar and Tesco meaning you’re never more than a few minutes away from anything you need.
The apartment is 5 mins walk to Northern Quarter, Canal Street with Deansgate and Spinningfields being 10 minutes away. Literally 15 mins directly up the road is Ethiad Stadium for Manchester City. Old Trafford is a short hop on the tram from Manchester Piccadilly. You really can’t go wrong with staying at the apartment and accessing EVERYTHING this city has to offer.
MORE ON GETTING OUT AND ABOUT …..
The apartment could not be better located. Some hints and tips for getting about;
- Taxis - walk out of the apartment back down Ducie Street (turn left out of Junction House, left again) and when you come to the cross roads with Cafe Nero and Malmaisson, you'll see a cab rank opposite Malmaisson.
- Free Bus Service – Outside Piccadilly Station on Station Approach is the bus stops for all the free city centre busses. They cover a huge area, they are reliable and regular and best of all they are free, so use them!
- Supermarket - further along from the taxi rank, there is a 24hr Spar, 24 Hour Tesco (opposite the spar), Greggs, 2 or 3 mainstream bars, Fatso's for sandwiches. A little further down is Piccadilly Gardens with banks, restaurants, shops etc.
If you have a particular destination (football stadiums, museums, theatres, neighbourhoods for going out like Northern Quarter, Spinningfields, Canal Street, Deansgate Locks etc), or any question not covered above, give me a shout and we will help where we can.

Check-in is 3pm and check-out 11am.
The TV and Wi-Fi is provided with no extra charge, but do use appropriately. Please do not order any paid movies or sports without prior agreement, as a cost is incurred.
If there are an extra one/two guests, as mentioned, there's a large comfortable sofa bed in the lounge with bedding. Extra guests are allowed to stay but PLEASE make me aware of them, as there is a surcharge for the 5th and 6th guest.
Few last pointers:
•Once you're stay is complete, please put all used towels and tea towels in the washing machine. Please don’t feel the need to strip the beds - we will of course do that.
•Please leave all used dishes in the dishwasher and, if you can, turn it on before you leave.
•Use the bin for general waste and store bottles next to the bin, which housekeeping will take to the refuse area. If you get a lot of refuse you can take it to the Lower Ground floor in the lift. Once at LG, turn left and left again for the refuse room - remember the codes to get back in.
•Please look after the place, there’s no need to clean before leaving, as the place is professionally managed, but do look after my apartment and leave the place in a considerate state.
•Oh and no smoking in the apartment whatsoever. If you do smoke, please smoke outside on the ground floor and put your butts in the sewer drain.
