The Ting House offers a tiny home away from home perfect for exploring Friday Harbor. This sweet one room cabin accommodates a small family of three. Featuring a sweet little kitchen, woodstove, one queen bed and a couch.

The space
The Ting House is an off grid, one room rustic cabin located in a tiny meadow in a Douglas fir forest. The cabin offers a wood burning stove for heat, propane three burner stove, mini fridge and hot and cold running water. A designated bath house is a short stroll away and is complete with a flushing toilet and hot shower for washing up. PPROV0-17-0021

Guest access
Guests have a designated parking spot, and access to a shared bath house complete with flushing toilets and hot showers. Each cabin has its own designated toilet room and separate shower room.

Other things to note
Please note that getting to the island requires a ferry reservation from Anacortes to Friday Harbor. You can see the current schedule and pricing information at WSDOT- Ferries. The reservation holds your spot on the ferry. Make sure to arrive at least 45 minutes before the departing ferry. You can make your reservation 2 months before, 2 weeks before or 2 days before your departure. Some standby tickets will be available for drive up however these go quickly and during the summer months may require a long wait at the ferry terminal.
The Ting House is located 1 mile down an unpaved country road off of Bailer Hill on the North West side of the island. As such we highly recommend a vehicle in order to access the property and allow maximum flexibility for sightseeing and seeking out meals.
Road bicycles will find our road difficult to navigate and possibly dangerous. Mountain bikes are able to negotiate the access road easily however.
Cell service on the property is spotty at best and WIFI is non existent.
We advise bringing a head lamp or flashlight for treks down the forest path to the bath house.
Please note that the grocery store is open until 9pm and most of the island resturants close around that time too.

Neighborhood highlights

The property is located in a rural setting in a Douglas fir forest. We are in a rural neighborhood and as such ask that guest respect quiet times after 10pm and before 9am. Keep in mind that as we are in a little valley and neighborhood sounds travel, it is common to hear the neighbors chickens, an occasional dog barking or someones generator during the day. It is equally possible to hear owls hooting and the ravens going about their business.
