With a peaceful outlook across the water, original artworks, free wifi and every comfort considered, our property provides accommodation for up to four people in a stunning self contained home, only metres from the ocean.

The space

A truly unique getaway bound to entice you back time and time again.

A large open plan living space with 21 foot vaulted ceiling provides a wonderful sense of space and is flooded with natural light. Relax on the large modular lounge with lots of cosy cushions in front of the TV, listen to some music or just sit and enjoy the views out into the garden and wetlands. The room features a large hand painted mural, vintage posters and original art. A large flat screen television with DVD player and music player with iPod connectivity complete the space.
A selection of movies, books and board games are also provided.

The property has two sleeping areas.

Area 1
Located in the upstairs mezzanine, bedroom 1 is our feature sleeping area and is accessed by a flight of seventeen stairs. With a king size bed, velvet couch and direct access to a private balcony, this room is large, spacious and cosy. As the property is open planned, this room is open in nature, and also doesn't provide heaps of privacy. No problem if there is only two of you, and if you know your travelling companions well!

Bedroom 2
Located downstairs and nestled within our open plan living space, bedroom 2 has a queen size bed and provides views over the wetlands and easy access to the bathroom and kitchen. This bedroom offers limited privacy from your other travelling companions, so please make sure you are aware of this before you book. If you are easy going or know your travelling companions well it shouldn't be a problem.
Full linen and a selection of pillows are provided for your stay.

The bathroom has a large shower, toilet and hand basin. Luxury white Sheridan towels are provided.

The fully-equipped open plan kitchen with all the utensils and appliances you will possibly need has a large work bench overlooking the living space and dining table. Converse and enjoy each other's company while pouring evening drinks or preparing meals. The large vintage timber dining table provides plenty of room to spread out and dine in comfort, or read the weekend papers.

The property has a large deck on the southern side of the building. Escape the heat in summer, while enjoying alfresco dining and listening to the crashing waves in the distance. A Weber BBQ and outdoor setting are provided on this large deck facing the wetlands.
The upstairs balcony catches the eastern sun rising at the start of the day, perfect for a coffee and the morning papers. Accessed from bedroom 1, the balcony is also a perfect spot to gaze at the stars in the fresh country air from the large timber outdoor setting.

Other things to note

Beautifully deigned accommodation!! Loved my stay here. The kitchen was equipped well as we cooked our meals so was perfect! Would definitely stay here again. Only thing I needed was WiFi as didn't have reception on my phone so couldn't hotspot. Thanks for having us!

My partner and I spent a long weekend in Warrnambool at Tina & Glenistair’s place and it was perfect. The location was great: quiet, pretty, and only a few minutes drive from town. The accomodation was fantastic too: clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed (including a good internet connection). Tina & Glenistair’s communication was excellent. We received clear and simple check-in instructions on the morning of our arrival.

Beautiful place to stay, with a great view of the salt marsh, and only a minute drive from a fantastic view of thunderpoint.

The house is really really amazing, exactly like the photos! It's a pity that we only stay for one night. We cooked, play cards, looked the sky all night! This is the best Airbnb I have ever lived so long. :)

We had a great stay at Saltmarsh. The house is a beautiful, unique and interesting open plan building with lovely views over the wetland. It was extremely comfortable and Tina and Glenistair made so many lovely touches. It's a very easy ~5 minute drive from the centre of town, beach, and nature reserve, and made a great, relaxing end to our trip along the Great Ocean Road. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting or just passing through.

Hi there. We live three blocks from the Southern Ocean and try to walk with our dog Monty each day along the beach, or surf the wild Southern waves as often as possible. Our lifestyle is all about balance, with plenty of time to spend with our three adult sons, each other, our friends and travelling. We love coffee and leaf tea, good food and wine, challenging ourselves with trivia, watching documentaries and foreign films, and collecting and listening to vinyl records.
