Located in the heart of Manhattan's iconic Lower East Side, this private bedroom features outdoor space (fire escape) with a courtyard view as well as a large closet and lots of room to stretch out. It shares a large kitchen/common room (equipped with stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, full refrigerator and freezer, as well as a large table (4+seats) for eating and meeting. There is coin-operated laundry on the floor, which is shared with other tenants. The building is a brick walk-up embodying the classic style of early 20th Century New York City architecture. I'll provide you with clean sheets, towels, a hair dryer, wireless internet, and all the essentials during your visit!

Just a few short blocks from the F, M, J and Z trains, public transportation will quickly have you all over Manhattan. Within 15 minutes, you can be on Wall St., Times Square, Union Square, 34th St, The South Street Seaport, City Hall, China Town, and any number of other location in Manhattan, be it by subway, taxicab, any one of the conveniently accessible bus lines servicing the area, or foot!

If you manage to get bored of all Manhattan has to offer, you can walk over the Williamsburg Bridge to Brooklyn's hottest scene. The bridge, just a two minute walk from your front door, was completed in 1903 and was the second of three connecting Manhattan to Brooklyn. It is second only to the Brooklyn Bridge in its history and iconography. The neighborhood it lands in offers many of New York City's premier independent arts venues and most popular bars and restaurants. If such things hold your interest, you may not want to cross the bridge, however . . .

The Lower East Side of Manhattan is like no other place on Earth. At one point the most densely populated area in the world (on par with modern-day Calcutta and Hong Kong), the neighborhood hosted waves of immigrants from the 1900s onward. Attractions such as the nearby Tenement Museum document this rich history and its transition into the future, which is marked by fine art galleries, museums, performance venues, designer boutiques, gourmet restaurants, and pubs and nightclubs of every variety! Prominent attractions include, but are in no way limited to:

  • Joshua was an amazing host and the place was great for our one night stay. His apt fit six comfortably and we were nice and comfy. I will definitely keep in touch and use his apt again if needed!

  • Joshua has a very nice place in a prime location in the LES. He was very courteous, kind and was there right away to answer questions when we contacted him. I can't think of anything bad to say! It is a fourth floor walk up, but this is NYC so it is to be expected. The building had nice neighbors and there are SO many things to do in the neighborhood and the subway stop is only a quick 5 minute walk. I would stay again at Joshua's place in the future!

  • Josh was a great host. He was able to meet my friend early to let her drop her stuff off before the rest of us arrived and allowed us to spend some additional time before check out as we had a later flight. The apartment location is very central (the street itself is still up-and-coming but never felt unsafe). You can easily walk to all that the lower east side has to offer. I would definitely recommend this place, especially for traveling with more than a couple people (we had 4 total).

About
I'm a business guy in my mid-twenties living in Manhattan, born and raised in Los Angeles. I've driven across the US twice and have been to most of the states in The Union. I'm very easy to please and don't fuss over minor details when I have guests. All I care about is that you not make a big mess or disturb the neighbors. I love a good conversation and follow the news very closely. It's great talking about the world with people, but I understand not everyone is interested. It's very seldom that I watch television, but I do enjoy a good movie, book, or video game when I have the time. I've been working and living on and around the Lower East Side for years, so I know lots of fun places to go and things to do and am more than happy to show my guests a good time, if they have the time! I don't normally spend much time at home, so you probably won't see too much of me unless we make plans together. My priority is ensuring your comfort, so don't hesitate to ask questions when we meet!
