Apartment rental in Paris of 50 m2 that has been newly renovated. It is composed of a living / dining room with an open kitchen. A sofa bed will allow two additional people to sleep. A marble table makes it possible to dine up to 4 people easily. The bedroom, lookIng on a small interior courtyard, is very peaceful. The bed measures 160*200. The bathroom is small but well designed with a superb shower. This apartment, located in one of the most lively parts of the city, has been renovated in an Italian style and constitutes perfect “pied à terre” to rent in Paris.
My husband and I stayed in this gorgeous apartment for 7 days and we truly could not have been happier with our choice.
Our host greeted us at the agreed time and was very friendly as he provided a tour of the apartment and gave us a few pointers. Not only is this charming apartment tastefully appointed and absolutely gorgeous, but every thought has been given to what a guest might need. We cooked and ate in many of our meals, and happily found right away that we'd need nothing but the food we'd be preparing. The bedroom was a very good size and very cozy. The bathroom was small but modern, and the shower is very large (and the rain showerhead was a dream!) Most mornings and evenings we'd open the windows to the wonderful street sounds and when we'd close them in the evenings we heard nothing at all, which was great for sleeping.
We were absolutely thrilled to find that directly below the apartment (and up and down this wonderfully vibrant pedestrian street) are very friendly shop-keepers in the most perfect of shops. Among them: a fabulous fromagerie, a tiny but perfect produce shop, a fishmonger, a wine merchant, a chocolatier and of course more than one patisserie and bakery. My husband and I are pescatarians, but there are butcher shops, too. We also found just a few doors down the block 2 tidy grocery stores, and at least two pharmacies that carry everything one could possibly need. Of very special note: the oldest patisserie in all of Paris, Stohrer, is on this very street - please do not miss it!
Truly, we were in foodie heaven.
After walking many miles around the city during our first few days in Paris, we very quickly realized that our favorite street in Paris was exactly where we were staying: Montorgueil. In fact, during our last two days in Paris we did not leave our immediate area, but instead decided to shop at the many stores on our street and in the surrounding blocks, as well as to enjoy the sights and sounds of our neighborhood by dining and drinking al fresco at the numerous cafes.
My husband and I cannot recommend our hosts - or this property - enough!
Our best -
Sabrina and Glenn Phillips
Thanks Sabrina for this wonderful comment of your stay in Paris. I love the rue Montorgueil and the options it gives you: restaurants, shops, markets and all types of "boutiques". Defenitely I'm going to try the Stohrer patisserie (I have never been there, shame on me). I hope I'll have the chance to host you again in the future).
Rue de Petits Carreaux is an amazing place to stay for food lovers. It is very conveniently located as well for RER trip to both Orly and CDG airports. Louvre and the rest of the centre is within 15 min walk. Apartment is very cosy and well equipped, we were 3 and it was comfortable. Maria and Stephano are very attentive hosts and have been very helpful before and during our stay. We appreciated as well late check-out opportunity though I understand it is not always possible. We hope to be back, thank you.
Maria and Stefano were excellent hosts. Their apartment is gorgeous and located on one of the cutest and most lively streets in Paris. In addition, they were understanding when our train was delayed and flexible with our arrival time. Maria replied quickly and confirmed all details of the stay several days before our arrival. Excellent place. Highly recommend!
Amicalement, Alice
This is a great apartment. Communication was excellent and the host was there to meet us when we arrived which we really appreciated. The apartment has all the basics supplied which is really helpful. Especially things like washing powder if you need to throw on a load of washing. We stayed with our 4 year old daughter and it was great for the three of us. I think 4 adults would be a bit snug though. The location was perfect. It was a great 'Paris Experience' to be staying in this street so close to such great shops and eateries. It is a little bit quirky but a very authentic experience. The boulangerie directly below is delicious. We are Australian and thought this apartment was a bargain for the location and space in Paris. We would definitely return if we're lucky enough to be back in Paris.
Maria was a very gracious host even when we arrived more than an hour late from CDG Airport, having a bit of a problem finding our way out of the Chatelet des Halles Train Station for one thing. The apartment was very nice, well equipped, good sized bed, nice decor and a good kitchen to work in. Having English speaking TV Stations was welcome also after long days out and about in Paris. The pedestrian style neighborhood was lively with many restaurants and an assortment of great shops for buying food. We found the location ideal for walking, only having to take the subway once, which is ideally located at the end of the street. If you take the Rue de Louvre it is about a 10-15 minute walk to the Louvre area and the same to the Pompidou. The apartment is located in quite an old building, so the soundproofing isn't great, but the windows muffled the street noise quite well. All in all we enjoyed our time in the City of Lights in this very nice apartment.
Maria's husband greeted us upon our arrival and was very welcoming. He answered all of our questions (I was able to speak to him in French). He provided us with his cell phone number in case we had any issues. The apartment was clean although there was an odour coming from the carpet in the hallway and bedroom. We just got used to it. The apartment was spacious considering its central location. We were three adults and a toddler and were quite comfortable. The apartment come stocked with dishes and basic pantry items which was helpful. We were told on arrival that the washing machine had been broken by the previous guest. Maria's husband offered to have it repaired while we were there, however we opted not to as it would have meant some disruption to our stay. The neighborhood is very vibrant - many cafés and restaurants. The Italian restaurant directly across from the apartment was amazing! The bakery down the street was founded in the 1700s and is very well known. Delicious croissants! We always felt very safe. There are two entry doors to the building each with its own pass code. The Louvre was an easy 15 minute walk away and the metro station Sentier is a 30 second walk up the street. Overall a positive experience.
