My wife and I stayed with Diane for over a week, and we are so pleased with our decision. Diane is sweet and lovely, and made us feel right at home for our entire stay. She is very curtious and thoughtful; every day she made sure we felt comfortable and accommodated.
The bedroom is spacious and comfy, and the bathroom is perfect for one or two people. Diane has a spacious and inviting home and yard, and my wife took advantage of the peaceful back patio every morning. The neighborhood is VERY quiet, and quite dark at night which is great for star-seeing. She gave us access to her kitchen and even washed dishes for us! Her place is clean, the only thing we noticed were some cob webs. We drove to Sedona every day, it's really not much of a jog and the views out in that area are so gorgeous that you won't even notice that it takes about 15 miles to get into the main Sedona region.
To sum up, we loved our experience staying with Diane and would not hesitate to do so again if we one day come back to that beautiful region of Arizona!
In a word... Splendid! Diane is a tremendous hostess, with local insights and accommodations that are genuine. Very comfortable, spacious, clean, quiet and an excellent location for site seeing at Sedona, Jerome, Montezuma and more. I can't wait to come back. Her place books fast so don't hesitate. Thank you Diane!
Diane offers a warm welcome into her clean and comfortable home. In addition to being a good location to stay while visiting the Sedona area, it is a great place to rest and relax.
I thoroughly enjoyed talking with Diane, both for information about the area and good conversation.
There are several sites to visit nearby in Lake Montezuma. The day I departed I visited Montezuma Well which is an interesting site as well as having a peaceful picnic area with great facilities.
The listing and photos are accurate. Diane's home is about 1/2 hour south of Sedona in a rural community. This location provides easy access to many of the local attractions in the area. I attended an art workshop in Sedona and loved driving through the red rocks to class. It is such spectacular scenery! The road to Sedona goes right by the ranger station where there is an abundance of information on the flora, fauna, prehistoric sites as well as the trails and maps of the area. Diane also has pamphlets of places of interest as well as personal knowledge of the region.
She is a welcoming host and her home is just like being in my home, very quiet and well-kept. The master suite was spacious and private with a comfortable bed and lots of blankets.
Breakfast was continental and ready whenever I got to the kitchen. Diane let me use her fridge for my gluten free bread and snacks. She shared her wine with me a couple of nights and we had some good talks. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely do it again. Thank you Diane for your kindness and care.
Our hostess, Diane, was just a dream, making us feel not only welcome but cared for. She went beyond meeting our needs and did so most graciously. She opened up her home to us and wouldn't let me do the dishes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in her home and enjoyed sharing time with her as well. We would totally recommend Diane and her home to fellow travelers. Thank you Diane.
Listing description was accurate and Diane was a lovely, kind and very accommodating hostess! For example:
1) She allowed me to change from 3 to 2 nights when my travel plans changed on short notice;
2) She drove her car at ~8:30 PM to a gas station to find me when I got lost looking for her home while driving solo in a dark, complex neighbourhood.
Diane was really awesome! We arrived pretty late due to our drive but she was really great at working with us to still be able to let us in when we arrived. The room was a private bedroom + bathroom, and she provided pamphlets to Sedona and the surrounding area. She offered us breakfast and coffee and was really welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately we stayed for only one night but I definitely wished we could've stayed for longer!
I love to work in the yard. Creating a landscape and helping plants and flowers to grow, is very rewarding. I love to be outside enjoying nature, sunshine, a gentle breeze. In winter, I love sewing, crocheting, a good book in front of the fireplace and football on Sundays.
I love being a hostess. I love my home and sharing it with guests.
