Nicknamed by some as the 'razor building' due to its three rooftop wind turbines, Strata is, at present, the tallest residential building in London.
Elephant & Castle is conveniently located for very easy access to Borough Market, Bermondsey Street, Maltby Street Market, the West End, South Bank, the City of London and Canary Wharf.
A 24 hour concierge ensures security for all residents and a television, wireless internet, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, towels and hairdryer are all provided.
Guests will be welcomed by myself (or very rarely, my long term housekeeper, Maria) to the apartment to ensure all is in order. I have lived in the neighbourhood for more than ten years and would be happy to share local knowledge and recommendations - please ask.
Elephant & Castle is one of the best connected destinations in London, offering easy access to the City, West End, East End, South Bank and popular suburbs in the south-west, such as Brixton and Clapham. Where possible, I am happy to be flexible with check-in and check-out times. Please ask of you need to arrive earlier and I will do my best to accommodate.
I use Airbnb as I do not wish to be bound by many rules and conditions and I assume my guests do the same. Apart from a maximum of two guests, no pets or smoking, I do not have any house rules, just a polite reminder that this is my home too and a request that guests keep this in mind during their stay.
Our host Charl was there to meet us on our arrival. He was very welcoming and friendly. He had done a small shop and had breakfast items for us, fruit, bagels, milk, granola etc. Great to be able to make a cup of tea after travel. He also had prepared a list of guidelines and local restaurant recommendations. All very helpful! Apt easy to find, location excellent close to the tube snd train station. Very warm, bright, clean and comfortable! Would use again.
We had a great stay at Charl's apartment - the location was central, easily accessible and literally a 2-minute walk to the tube station, the apartment was spacious and comfortable with a great view. Charl was a great host, sending us a list of local recommendations in advance, meeting us upon our arrival and even stocking up his kitchen and fridge with drinks and breakfast! Would definitely recommend a stay there and would love to stay there next time we're in town.
Charl has been a perfect host, he reached me for the checkin even if i arrived earlier then agreed. He gaves to me all the information and the instructions needed and some good recommendation to experience the neighborhood, as I did. The apartment is new and clean and it looks exactly as you can see on the website. I will definetively try to get back in Charl's apartment nex time in London.
Lovely studio, clear communication at every stage, outstanding view. Charl was accessible & personable. Would book this place again in a heartbeat.
The apartment is great, good situation, in a modern building, the view fantastic, next to all public transport, the host Charl really helpful, and all his recommendations were very good, sure we will repeat!!!!
Charl is the perfect host, flexible, available at all times, and the apartment is exactly as described : clean, modern, fully equipped, well located and really close to the tube ! Great experience, do not hesitate if you plan to spend a few days in London !
I am a 35 year old professional, living and working in London, where I have lived since 1997 after spending my childhood in South Africa. I return to Cape Town as often as I am able however my list of 'must see/return to destinations' is so long I am struggling to keep up.
I love discovering the city of London (it is hard to keep up - there are new destinations every week!) and other parts of the world too. I am always very interested to know why people visit London and what they most look forward to - apart from those visiting on business of course.
I consider myself to be honest, polite and considerate. I really do believe in treating others like I would like to be treated. I also have a very mild case of OCD ;-).
Please do ask if you'd like to know anything else about me - I would happily share...within reason.
