Feel like at home!!!!! thats the most important rule of the house :-)
There are no specific house rules, I treat everybody with respect and I hope my guest will do this also.
Smoking is in the garden, but for the rest I am not a difficult person.
see you soon
David's home is absolutely fantastic. It's a marvel of portraits, corals, figurines, and furniture. He was a great host, very flexible and friendly, and made sure everything was in good order. The room is huge, and the bed is very comfortable. The neighborhood is also just perfect - an easy connection to the airport/MIDI via underground, and with just enough color and spice to feel the bustle of Brussels. Take an easy walk to the city centre, or just hang out around St. Boniface. I can only strongly recommend David and his space.
David's place is ideal: well located, charming, and comfortable bordering on luxurious. David is passionate about antiques, and his museum-like apartment shows it. He is a gracious host, and I had interesting conversations with him upon arriving and leaving (he was largely absent during my 5-day stay, which means that I basically had the entire place to myself). The neighborhood is conveniently located and ethnically diverse, with a good choice of cafes and restaurants (including African and Asian). Although the bedroom is on the first floor facing the street, this is a quiet area and there was no problem with noise. I would be more than happy to stay here again whenever I return to Brussels ! Thank you David.
Even though I arrived rather late due to traffic, David welcomed me with a smile just the same. After a short introduction, David showed me around the house, pointing out where I could find everything I needed.
Staying here felt like sleeping in a museum or an antique-shop, without having the fear of being thrown out. The decoration of the house is incredibly well done, showing a great eye and humor at the same time. The bedroom is spacious, the bath was very nice and the internet worked without a hitch.
The apartment is located in a lively neighbourhood, within walking distance of a selection of very nice restaurants and bars, yet still was very quiet and felt like an oasis.
I had a wonderful stay here, it is a warm and beautiful home and a perfect escape from the business of Brussels, truly a little oasis of peace! David was there to welcome me and very discrete afterwards. I will certainly be back, it is exactly what I needed on a short conference trip like this.
I am a young guy who is in love with his city. I love the living quality here and I hope to translate this to my guests. I am working in a bank, but I am very active in the world of interior design. Antiques are my biggest love as you can see in the pictures.
I can't live without nice objects and books, and I bring them from all over the world when I am on travel.
Hope to see you soon for more talk in my living room :-)
