Great stay at Sam's place. Excellent location and great value for money. Check-in was very smooth thanks to Sam's communication ahead of the stay. The flat is on a high street with lots of restaurants, shops and cafes. A short bus trip or walk to downtown SF, or Golden Gate Park is also a short walk away. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook and the flat was clean. All in all a great stay, thanks! Highly recommended
Sam was really friendly and accommodating. The place had a really nice kitchen, laundry and clean bathrooms. The place is very centrally located and was near major bus lines and great restaurants. There was no window in our room and there were bunk beds and thin walls. Overall, it was a good deal and it's a great place to stay if you just need a place to crash while exploring the city.
P.S. Sam is awesome :)
First experienced San Francisco!
If you want to live in a nice and affordable neighbourhood and do some sightseeing, Sam's Place is the best you can choose.
Two Bus Lines right in front of the house, great bathrooms, nice rooms and awesome Roommates!
- Sam was very friendly and accommodating every time I talked with him.
- The location is great, really great. Close to lots of transit options and some great restaurants / bars.
- Good water pressure in the showers.
- I enjoyed meeting the other people staying there.
- No natural light in the room I was staying in. I didn't think it would bother me, but it made waking up and not having any sense of what time it was kind of odd. When I mentioned it, Sam let me move into one of the rooms with windows once it was available.
- The decoration is still kind of sparse which lends some of the rooms a hostel-like feel. I think Sam mentioned that he was still working on filling them out.
It's a great place to land in the city for an extended stay while you go through the pain of finding more permanent housing.
