PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION, ANSWER QUESTIONS, BEFORE SENDING IN REQUEST. Thanks!
Hosting in the strange times of Covid 19. A treehouse is a healthy, safe accommodation...in a therapeutic tree. Please be vaccinated.
The inside of this little treehouse, is a bit more than 4' x 6' x 6'3"(tall, at the peak), but most can stand tall and totally stretch out. It's perfect for 1 and cozy for 2. 2 people Maximum.
I provide comfy thick sleeping pads, pillows, sheets & blankets. Nov. - May you must bring your sleeping bags. Sleeping bags are so welcome anytime!

I provide a well maintained, cedar, Composting Toilet (no smell :-)), in an enclosure in the garage, exclusively for treehouse guests. My backyard is your beautiful, space. I provide fresh drinking water, wash up rain barrel water, wash bowl, Hot tea kettle, soap, and hand towel for washing up, as one does while camping, so it’s the complete, environmentally friendly, Portland experience.
I bring out a light Breakfast for you to enjoy on the patio.
This treehouse is for agile, folks who respect our beleaguered ecosystem and LOVE CAMPING, yet this is a Big step up from that. The treehouse is very strong but I have a weight limit of 300 lbs or so, for the longevity of this treehouse and the comfort of guests. Personal checkin is REQUIRED, so keep in mind, we will COORDINATE our schedules after I accept you. Checkin ends at 8pm.
Showers are available inside on an ALTERNATING DAY basis only for guests who stay more than 1 night.
When you send in your request to book...ANSWER THESE ?’s: Why Did You Choose This Treehouse? Are you Truely Outdoorsy, a Camper? Verify sleeping bag. Also, please verify your combined weight.
The treehouse is very protective, and allows for a unique, sweet, private place to stay, as well as a patio/small table area and a private toilet. My location is peaceful and convenient Eastside.

Location

Portland, Oregon, United States

This neighborhood is in the heart of artsy SE, quiet and safe. This is very tree filled...like all of Portland...duh!, but South Tabor is great, because it is really close to beautiful Mt. Tabor, where you can go and hike in a forest. It's very close to public transportation, grocery and restaurants.

I’m an artist, single Mom, and an Environmental Activist. My past work involved my own photoretouching business of 19 years in San Francisco, a short time as an Ultrasonographer and an Oregon Real Estate broker. After much inner contemplation, I focused on serving the greater good via Social/Educational Justice work and then followed my heart to Environmental work. This work involved getting solar installed on Portland area roofs and then getting lots of trees planted…sometimes, sadly, mutually exclusive. The environment is my greatest concern, in tandem with my daughter. I’m well educated and have traveled the world in an adventurous fashion, such as trekking in the Himalayas. I’ve lived here 13 years and know the Portland area extremely well and can direct you to whatever is your interest. Mainly, this is for peacefulness, especially in the morning, but I am quite friendly and will say howdy every now and then, and if you are so inclined, we could have a nice chat. I have 2 indoor/outdoor cats, both sweet..1 is just a bit shy.

During your stay
I’m a naturally friendly, outgoing person, and prefer to always greet my guests, as this is obviously a unique listing and show them the easy climb and particulars. I love to chat a bit when they arrive, but I'm also sensitive to guests need for privacy...especially in the morning. If quests stay more than 1 night, I have enjoyed getting to know them.
