Welcome to Dublin.
This room has a double bed and use of a large guest bathroom. Towels, hairdryer, adapter and umbrella provided. Self service breakfast available. Free wifi throughout the house. Please note check in/out times.
Please please upload a photo if you haven't already. It nice to see who we are welcoming into our home.
You will be sharing the house with us Superhosts. We have recently returned from San Francisco where we represented Ireland at the first international Airbnb Open event.
Our home is located on a quite road minutes walk from the park, bus stop and train station. The house is newly built with lovely bright airy rooms. We have a double room and a twin room available so if your a party of 4 let us know. We are only 9km from the airport which is approximately 15 minutes by taxi. We are 10.5km into the city and in off peak times takes approximately 25 minutes by bus and only 20 by train.
Parkedge overlooks Father Collins Park; this fantastic 22 acre facility designed by Argentinian Architects, Abelleyro & Romero, combines a mixture of landscaping, art, architecture and water features. The park offers playing pitches and a running track. The iconic wind turbines running north to south are a feature of the promenade.
Our home is probably more suitable for tourists and we do not cater for people looking to move to Dublin. We do not provide long term stay. Please don't ask as saying no may cause offence.
The house is over three floors. On the ground floor you have access to the kitchen and a downstairs toilet.
As we both work long hours our living room is for our use only in the evening time, if we are not in during the day you are welcome to sit in it.
You can use the kitchen for preparing cooking and eating meals except in the evening between 5pm and 7pm when we use it to prepare our dinner. No cooking after 8.30pm.
Breakfast table will be set for you every morning. Cereal, brown bread and fruit are available. Tea, coffee and juice also. Please inform us of any dietary requirements. We can taylor your breakfast to suit you if we have advanced notice so please let us know. whether you woud like croissants/white bread or traditional Irish brown bread. Breakfast only till 11am on a Sunday.
The first floor has two guest bedrooms and a large modern bathroom. On occasions when the two rooms are in use you will have to share the bathroom. We try to limit this as much as we can.
Second floor is out of bounds only because its our bedroom :-)
We have a lovely back garden that you can sit in if weather permits (This is Dublin after all)I
Interaction with Guests
We always greet our guests personally and are available by email anytime. As we work full time you might not see us much during the day. Aisling is around in July and August (school holidays)
Please note we are not in the city but a quite suburb outside it. You can spend the day in the city and in the evening head out to Malahide or Howth using the DART (rail link) We are 15 minutes by taxi to the airport.
In our neighbourhood we have a Chinese and Italian restaurant beside us. Our local shop has all you need for a quick snack in the day. You can get your bus ticktes here. Bus into the city cost €3.30 or €2.60 by leap card. I can provide you with a leap card. It is like a credit card that you top up to use on the bus instead of having to have the correct coins. All I ask is that you remember to leave it after you when checking out.
We are very well served by bus and train. The bus terminus is on our doorstep and depending on traffic takes 25/30 minutes to get to the city during off peak times. By train we are 19 minutes into the city. The train will also take you to the fabulous coastal villages of Malahide and Howth. The airport is only 15 minutes away by taxi.
Other Things to Note
Please note our home is not available to guests under 18 years of age under our insurance policy.
Only persons booked in can enter our home. No visitors during your stay (most guests are tourists so I doubt this will be an issue)
Check in Monday to Friday is after 4.30pm as both of us work full time.
However Saturday and Sunday we try to suit your arrival time as much as possible as either one or both of us are off.
Check out is always 12pm or before.
If you need some laundry done we will charge €3 per wash.
For that special occasion we can organise a picnic basket (€10pp)
We also have a ladies bike available and we hope to have a man's bike soon.
Sorry if we seem bossy having rules but this is our brand new home that we have worked hard for.We want to make your stay as enjoyable as possible so a few rules helps things to run smoothly.
No showering after 10pm. The water tank is on the third floor beside our room and can be a little noisy.
Please wash up after breakfast, delph and cutlery can be left to dry on draining board.
No cooking after 8.30pm.
Breakfast only till 11am on Sunday.
We do not charge a cleaning fee so all we ask is that you use the correct bins for recycling. We have a newly acquired compost bin out in the back garden for vegetable peelings, teabags coffee granules etc.
Please keep noise to a minimum after 11pm at night.
No unregistered guests allowed.
No smoking inside the house but you can sit and relax in our back garden.
Please remove shoes going upstairs as we have new carpet throughout.
Please do not use or ask to use our address for post deliveries.
Other than that enjoy your stay.
Très bon accueil ,Aisling et Liam sont des gens charmants qui nous ont très bien reçu.Nous étions perdu Aisling est venue nous chercher jusqu’à Macdonald.Personne très serviable et disponible
I have stayed for two nights with Aisling and Liam and i can say only highly positive things about them. In other words they are doing fantastic job. Their accommodation overcame all my expectations. I would highly recommend to anyone to use their service. Thank you very much for everything.
Excellent accommodation and even better hosts. They provided us with a fabulous room exactly as it appears in the picture (and even left us some chocolates on the side). We woke up to a delicious selection of breakfast foods. Both Aisling and Liam were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. They made us both feel welcome and we would really recommend them to anyone. Thank you for being amazing hosts.
I had a wonderful time at Liam&Aisling's, their house is very clean, cozy and cute. It's also very close to the bus station, so getting to the centre is no problem. The room I stayed in looked even nicer than in the photo, and they had breakfast ready for me every morning! They respected my privacy yet saw to my every need. I was sad to leave, and would definitely stay with them again! Go Bolands!
We really enjoyed the warm welcome of aisling and Liam. Clear rules Made everything Clear and Guide tenant and landlord to a good living! The room was very Clean, nice decorated and Made out time really great! As well the bathroom was Perfect and Clean.
Really nice was the welcome in the kitchen. A preprepared table with dishes, bread, Milk and orange Juice felt us fanatastic! We were truely a little Bit impressed! Keep going this! Next time in Dublin we would heading again to this very nice place! Take care!
It was really nice to stay with Aisling and Liam. They are both welcoming and friendly. The house was clean and our room cosy. Thanks again for the breakfast.
This was my first experience with AirBNB and if every experience hereafter is but half as good, I won't ever need expensive hotel reservations.
The room was better than listed, and both Aisling and Liam go to great lengths to make you feel welcome in their home.

My husband and I are in our early 30's and like to travel alot. We have used airbnb in the past to book an apartment in Paris, Prague, Rome, London, Oslo, Brussels, Bruges, Berlin, Budapest, Edinburgh, Kraków, Madrid, Barcelona, San Francisco and more recently Cologne and Zurich. Liam works in the Civil Service and I'm a Special Needs Assistant in a main stream secondary school. We are very easy going and love to see and try new experiences all the time. We got married in April 2012 and after our honeymoon in Airbnb apartments we decided to become hosts.
