A charming house a short distance from the centre of Margaret River opposite Marri forest with blue wrens, kangaroos, cows and windmill as your neighbours!
Enjoy this picturesque cottage and garden, which combines the modern conveniences of a recenlty built house, with stylish charm.
The home offers two double bedrooms and one single bedroom, with two modern bathrooms. It also has a large, open plan living, dining and kitchen area and a lush outdoor dining space amongst a lovely garden.
It is perfectly located a mere two minute drive to Margaret River's gorgeous town centre, though far enough away for peace and quiet. It is also well situated as a base to explore the region's famous wineries, beaches and other attractions.
There are numerous nature walks at easy access from the home, and most importantly a mere 5 minute stroll away is Yahava Cafe for an excellent morning coffee.
Minimum 3 night stay
No school leavers please
No smoking inside house
Thanks Margaret for very prompt response to my queries and for sorting out our requirements
The house was amazing and so beautiful. Margaret made us feel very welcome with a bottle of wine and letter on arrival. The communication with her leading up to our stay was excellent with fast and friendly responses. The home was beautifully decorated, in a fantastic location close to town and with Kangaroos and bushland right outside the front door. There was Internet and brouchers within the home which made final planning easy while there. The home was set up with everything and more then what we needed for our stay. The outside was lovely for meals and drinks. The beds were very comfy and there was plenty of towels and linen. Thank you so much Margaret and I will defiantly be coming back to stay here again!!!!
What a Lovely review Jess,So glad you enjoyed your stay?Did you notice the quality of your sleep in the country ,away from the city ?Thank you too for leaving the place so perfectly and going beyond the call of duty .Happy you all enjoyed the neighbouring bushland and the multitude of Kangaroos .Please come again!!!Cheers Margaret.
Margret's house is AMAZING!!! it is so beautiful and welcoming, that being in the beautiful area of MR, we loved the house so much we ended up staying in many times, just because we enjoyed the vibe so much! Margret was great and easy to communicate with. if anyone is in the MR river area, this is the place to stay!! Highly recommended!
aawh Deb !!!Thank you so much and glad you enjoyed Your stay at my house and in the region .You are a lovely girl and it was a delight to chat with you re the key .Hope your parents enjoyed themselves ?Congratulations on your wedding ,which I presume has happened now in Victoria ?
We had a good stay at Marg's place. It's a cute cozy suburban home with a great living/dining area and open fully equipped kitchen. There is also a nice dining table outside to have breakfast. The house is stocked with some games/dvd's to enjoy in the evenings too. Location is a 5 minute drive to town (with 3 supermarkets and lots of restaurants) and about 10 minutes from all the wineries we wanted to visit (Voyager, Hayshed Hills, Leeuwin, etc). There is no internet in the house so plan ahead if you need to do work on vacation as we did and no heat in the bedrooms but had warm blankets. Overall a good stay!
Glad you enjoyed your stay Alex. There is internet in the house , but not WIFI ,which my provider ensures me will be coming soon to MR.I should have left the modum out with password , which I can rectify ( Telstra have wifi , but not Westnet my provider). When my family visit they get internet. There is gas heating in the living room , which warms the house and in winter I put electric blankets on the beds .Glad you enjoyed the wineries and easy location to town , and hopefully the forest ,windmill on the farm land with kangaroos in the next door paddock .
We really enjoyed our stay in Margaret River. The house was in a good location only a short drive from town. Margaret was very helpful and quick to respond to any queries.
Thanks for a wonderful stay Margaret! We thoroughly enjoyed our time staying in your 3 bedroom house. Our young sons loved the forest across the road, and the house being the last one on the no through road meant that our eldest could safely practice on his new bike. Brookfield had lots of paths and parks for the children, and it was only a few minutes drive from town and all the wonderful things Margaret River has to offer! The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We enjoyed watching some of the dvds in the evening, and had bbqs most nights on the trusty Weber! Margaret was very helpful, leaving us recommendations of where to eat and what to do, along with a complimentary bottle of wine. Overall, a fantastic, relaxing holiday! Thank you!
I am so thrilled the boys got to ride their bikes safely on the footpaths surrounding the forest and that you found the dvds and relaxed in the evenings!!!Did you go to the rivermouth, which is calm and suitable for small children and the beach ?Or have the sharks scared everyone away from the ocean ?
Marg was the perfect host - she left clear instructions for us and was easily contactable should we have needed her. She also left out maps of the Margaret River region and a bottle of wine for us! The house has a lovely garden and outside area, a fully equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds with beautifully clean linen. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be recommending Marg's property to our family and friends.
