Our Labradoodle, Scout, will help us welcome you.
We need quiet between 8 pm and 7 am because we have a 1 year old.
The description was completely accurate, the home felt pretty private, beautifully surrounded by the woods, fruit trees and a garden. It was great though that we would still see neighbors passing by to say hello from the road and even offer help/directions, if we needed it. Our toddler almost would not let us leave, she had so much fun playing with their son's toys. Ellen was also very prompt with communication.
We arrived late & left early so we never met the owners. I knew in advance I was simply looking for a bed w/ good vibes & the rest was not going to be so important. It was comfortable though. Thanks for the coffee, fridge space, shower & comfy bed. We did wish we could have stayed longer because the area felt wonderful. We loved the art work in the house, the green yard & general feel of home. Thank you again.
We were made to feel very welcome. Ellen and Emily and their son Max are very charming. Very pleasant stay. And it was very quiet. The house is situated in the woods and is very quaint.
Had a lovely time staying with Ellen, Emily, Max and Scout. Even the neighbors were charming! The setting is lovely (a quite dirt road with woods and farmland all around) Took some nice walks. Elen left me wonderful breakfast goodies and I felt quite at home
We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. Our room was very comfortable and clean - a fine bed and good sense of privacy, peace and quiet. We also had no trouble finding it (although we were almost next door for a wedding that day which was quite a coincidence!) We were also treated to a healthy and yummy breakfast.
Due to a last minute change, we unfortunately didn't get to meet Ellen as she and her family were out of town. She emailed me beforehand with instructions on how to get inside, and we were all set. She had a note for us on the counter and a binder at the foot of the bed with maps and area info. That's all we needed.
The pictures don't do her home justice -- it's lovely! The farmhouse kitchen and the garden had me drooling... I'm such a sucker for old homes. ;)
We were very comfortable, slept well, and unfortunately didn't get to try the outdoor shower on the back deck -- we wanted to but overslept! The house is secluded in the woods, and their gardens are full of flowers... Gorgeous.
She was easy to communicate with, and we'd love to stay again when we come back to VT.
Oh, and don't worry about no wifi -- hubby was getting good AT&T signal on his phone (including data), and I had good voice service and slow data on Verizon. We were totally fine. ;) Don't let that keep you from staying here!
Thank you again, Ellen!
