The Space

About home sweet home away. Go a bit far a center just 3 km so you will see more _ know more _ more experience with the real authentic life. From Nguyen Van Cu bridge crossing two rivers floating to Sai gon river where is divided into four district 1 district 4 district 5 and District 8 / Chez Pham your home sweet home away.

Sharing the house located on Duong Ba Trac Street, District 8 BUT next too District 1 District 4 District 5, District 7 about 1 km. Easy to take bus number 152 to go Ben Thanh market as well Ben Thanh bus stop just 10 minutes same bus to airport. Many local food and cheap serviced around my house. It is convenient to go downtown and china town without jam traffic.
The rooms are very nice with decoration.
About the house:
5 floors and terrace
3 rooms for rent
Fully furnished
Shared kitchen, dinning room, terrace, washing machine... You can use anything you want.
Newly built, secure, clean, quiet and airy area, near Trung Son and Phu My Hung District 1, 4,5,7 and closed to many international school.

Experience a Vietnamese homestay with my family.
We live in a typical Vietnamese house, in a typical family neighborhood, on a typical pedestrian street.

Our newly built house has five floors. We rent two private rooms. Each room offers a comfortable queen size bed, a private bathroom, air-conditionning, fan, tv, wifi, large window and glass door to let in natural light (with good curtains if you wish to be in the dark!), and a small balcony overlooking streetlife. Each room can accomodate 2 persons.

You are welcome to use our kitchen or whatever facility our house offers. Many of our previous guests really enjoyed the 360 view offered from our roof top terrace at sunrise, sundown, or to see the city lights in the evening.

We live in district 8, just on the other side of the bridge that brings you in district 1 where most tourists attractions are and in district 5, Cholon, the famous Chinese neighborhood, and district 4 along the river going to Saigon river opposite district 1. From another the bridge reach Phu My Hung district 7 such as new city with restaurant and shopping small exhibition event. we are living on the island.

During the day, you can take bus 152 and in less than 10 minutes, it will drop you at the Ben Thanh market or directly at the Ben Thanh bus station, near the Reunification Palace or the War museum,... from there you can walk any where in district 1. If you keep going on that same bus, you can even reach the airport in about 50 minutes just cost 5000 vnd ( 25 cents )

It is also possible to walk over the bridge for about 1,5 km and catch bus number 1 at any time. It can bring you downtown quickly to Le Loi street near the Opera, the famous hotels, major shopping streets or going the other way, to the famous market in Cholon and the Cholon bus station. Bus number 1 from 6am to 8 :30 pm Saigon Cho Lon ( downtown to China town )

District 8 is a living district. Tourists are a rare sight. On the way to my house you will be on typical commercial street with lots of traffic, restaurants, streetfood ... You will then turn on a typical small alley that will lead you to my house. That type of pedestrian alleys form mazes between major streets in HCMC. Most people live in those mazes of alleys and you will be living on one!

Much quieter then the major streets, no cars can enter! The sound of traffic from major streets becomes distant and you can now hear the sound of people living, talking, playing. Of course, the occasionnal moto has to make its way to the major street.

You will see people walking, kids playing in front of their house, families watching tv in their living room, families with little stalls in front of their house, or a little store in their living room...

A few meters from my house, you can have nice Vietnamese coffee. Within a few minutes, you will find a nice local typical market with food stalls, clothings, food market, grocery shopping...

We want your homestay at our house to be Home Away from Home for all travelers: solo, couples and families.

If this is the type of traveling you might enjoy, do not hesitate to write to me. Each room is 19$/night for 1 person and 24$ for 2.

  • Pham was a very gracious host who took the time to get to know us, even though our group of 5 spent only one night at her place. She was very helpful in that she gave us clear directions to wherever we wanted to go and even offered to call us a cab when it was raining. She was a very accommodating host who did her best to ensure that our stay was as comfortable as possible.

  • Linh was a great host... we had a wonderful time at her house. She took us to the local market and helped us order food. She was helpful with getting us around Ho Chi Minh City and even hung out with us at night. The house is full of fun stuff and it has a great food. Definitely recommend staying here to have a local
    show you around!

  • We had such a wonderful time staying with Linh and her family! The rooms were perfect, and everyone in the house was so friendly - Linh was a fantastic host, taking us around for two days, showing us all the local sights. The neighbourhood was really nice and very quiet at night, very typically Vietnamese, with lots of street food and a huge market nearby. Rooms were perfect, clean, comfy mattress and AC. Thank you for an awesome two days in Saigon! :)

  • Linh was great! She's very kind and helped me planned most of my trips in Vietnam. She'll also bring you out to see the local hang out places. The room was clean and comfortable, with air con, private shower and a huge double bed. Her family doesn't speak English, but they are all really nice. Definitely stay at Linh's if you want to know the real Saigon!

  • We stayed for a couple of days in Linh's home but wish could stay more. Her and her friendly family were very helpful an made our first days in HCMC pretty good, she also had helped us arranging a very nice sightseeing to Mekong Delta and gave us some trips to go around in HCMC. Thanks again Linh, thanks your mom too and send our regards to Susu.

  • Thanks Pham a million! I am sorry we couldn't stay longer (2 nights), but we loved it there. I've seen a 3* room at hotel at Ditrict 1 (my friends stayed there) and would say, that Pham's place is much more better :-) Only one thing, it's a bit far from District one, but taxi was around (phone number hidden) VND which is not too much... Pham advised us also good travel agency for Mekong delta trip and we did with them the other day Chu Ci tunnels. Thanks one more time!

  • The stay with Pham was really enjoyable! She is really friendly, and helped us with getting our sim card in Vietnam, with unlimited 3g! She suggested places we could go, and how we could get there. She brought us to try the local noodles and Vietnamese coffee at a neighbourhood stall near her apartment, which was an extremely interesting experience! it was how the locals live and eat, and we were able to experience that! Pham is such a hospitable host, and her apartment and neighborhood really helped us experience life as a local! Thank you Pham! :)
