Close to Beach and Bondi Road shops, this apartment has 3 bedrooms (2 doubles and 1 single) and a single bed in the kitchen/dining area. It is approximately 5k to the Sydney's CBD. We are on a bus route that goes directly to the city and opera house.
As this is our summer residence we need to know something about you if you wish to book. Who is staying (the make-up of your party) and the purpose of your trip is a good start. We are equally happy if this information is provided in your request or in your profile.
We can accommodate up to 6 people. 1 bedroom with queen bed, 1 bedroom with double bed, 1 bedroom with single bed and kitchen/breakfast room with single bed option. The apartment is approx 100 square metres in size. The apartment is one flight of stairs from ground level.
High speed broadband with WI-Fi and full kitchen facilities.
10 minutes walk or 5 minutes bus to Bondi Beach. Easy walk to Tamarama or Bronte Beaches. We are approx 500 meters from the eastern suburbs coastal walk.
There is a pub next door (not noisy), Thai, Tapas, Pizza, Vegetarian, Indian and other restaurants within 300 metres as well as a chocolate shop and health food store. Mini-marts are across the street and a small supermarket within 400m
Allergy sufferers please note: We do have a cat that stays at the apartment from November to early April of each year. Our best attempts at cleaning may not remove all traces for sensitive people.
Half hour taxi ride from Sydney Airport. Buses from the city are regular. You can also catch the train to Bondi Junction and bus down Bondi Road. Aerobus can take more people than a taxi and have baby seats ph(phone number hidden)
At Bondi Beach the surf can range from very large waves to calm and quiet, one day to the next. Specific areas are marked for board riders, body surfing and swimming. If the surf gets too large for your enjoyment, there are two rock pools at either end of the beach. The beach has lifeguards all year round
At Bondi Beach, you can find some great restaurants, plenty of cafes, pubs and clubs. The dress is usually casual with t-shirts, sandals and shorts quite acceptable in most of the dining places. Many have views of the beach/ocean.
Along the coastal walk starting at the south end of Bondi Beach, you can visit Tamarama, with a great little café. Bronte Beach, further along the track, has a number of cafés and a beachside pool. Next is Clovelly, a sheltered beach popular with families while Gordons Bay is great for snorkelling and scuba diving.
The walk ends at Coogee Beach (although you can plow on all the way to Maroubra Beach if you wish)
You can also walk from the north end of Bondi Beach to South Head, past dramatic scenes of the ocean from the high escarpments. You also get great views of Sydney Harbour along the way.
The walk also passes two lighthouses, the Macquarie Lighthouse, the first built in Australia was here in 1818, till it was replaced in 1898. The second, at South Head, was built after two ships, the Dunbar and the Catherine Adamson, tried approaching the heads of Sydney Harbour at night and were wrecked.
There are hills, so a certain level of fitness is required. There are also bus services at points along the way, which can take you back to Bondi or to Watsons Bay and the City.
Restaurants found in Bondi include a tasty international range as well as seafood, vegetarian and modern Australian. Thai, Mexican, Asian, Italian and other European countries, Middle Eastern, African, Mediterranean, Spanish, Japanese are all there. A number have great ocean views.
You can also find lots of cheaper eateries overlooking the beach including al fresco Cafés with great coffees.
The apartment is 1 flight of stairs from ground level and the bath/shower is a step-over type

We have spent a very nice time in Bondi Beach. Martin's apartment was spacious, with all facilities. We appreciated that Martin was here to welcome us. The apartment was ideally located with plenty of restaurants and easy access to the beach.
Location! Location! Location! This place was tops on our list for just this reason. It was 4 of us, brought my mom along. Ample space for all of us and then some. We had a ball. And as someone else mentioned, at the end of a long day and you turned the key in the door, it was truly like coming home.
Stayed here for my sisters wedding. Best location or both Bondi beach and Bondi junction! Plenty of room for up to 4 ppl. Very happy with stay :)
We enjoyed our stay in Martin's apartment very much. It was comfortable, spacious, quiet and the location was very good: close to the beach, shops and restaurants. Martin was a very friendly host, gave us good tips for restaurants, walks etc. and was very reliable. Thanks Martin, we hope to come back.
We had a great stay. The flat was lovely and in a great location with easy access to Bondi Beach and close to some good bars and shops.
Martin, the owner, was great too! He had a lot of useful information about the area, where to park our car, and what to see and do.
From initial online booking, through email and phone contact, to arrival at a lovely apartment and being met by Sophie, to our saying goodbye, our experience was unbeatable. The apartment was exactly what we wanted, clean, bright, large and central. There is plenty of space (we were five adults). Beds and linen were perfect. As my friend Annika said, 'after a day out, I put the key in the door and it really felt like coming home'. Which is exactly what it is, someone's home. And it was ours for 10 days. No interference from the owner, but there if you need them. It is 10 min walk to the beach, and there are some great cafes, restaurants, bars and shops right around the corner. Get the 333 bus to Bondi Junction for all of your shopping, train station, or stay on to be taken to Central Quay in the CBD. I have been to Sydney many times for business and pleasure and normally stay in hotels or serviced apartments. They are expensive and impersonal. This is not! For my next holiday in Sydney, I would love to stay here again! Big thanks to Martin and in his absence Sophie, who is so wonderful and kind. Hope to see you again! Ed.
I would highly recommend this apartment. This will be the first place I would look to book when we return to Sydney, Brilliant. Great accommodation with very spacious rooms. Very well furnished with comfortable beds. Has plenty of heating, just in case it gets a bit cold (we did go back end of winter). Martins daughter Sophie welcomed us in when we arrived and was very helpful. The location of the apartment is perfect with shops, a wide variety of restaurants and the bus stop only a very short walk away. Bondi beach is only 10 mins walk away. Perfect :)
This was a flawless booking, especially as I had booked it on behalf of relatives.
Martin's comms were first class & support was always there whenever I needed it.
Great accommodation, great location and dealing with Martin was a pleasure. Would not hesitate to stay there again. Within walking distance to beach, restaurants, shops and public transport
Communication with Martin was in timely manners at all time. Nice and friendly person. The flat is just the best location in the whole of Sydney! We just loved Bondi. Bondi Beach, Bondi Junction etc. easy to just jump on the bus all the way into town, or just to Bondi Junction and then by train. Perfect location Perfect Flat and Perfect Host. Great walks all around, great for running too, and the skate park was fantastic! Overall very happy. Thank you Martin
