Other Things to Note
This is a comfy, cheery, quiet, easy house in a great location!
No pets, sorry.
Kate was great, and the house was wonderful. It is very large, which allowed us to comfortably share it amongst a bunch of (relatively-close) colleagues. It is also conveniently located near the center of town.
Everything about this rental experience was great. The owner was very responsive to questions (often within an hour). Everything was exactly as described - and the location couldn't be better for everything the area has to offer. You rarely need a car. It is possible to walk everywhere in town, and the bus system will get you to all the ski areas - for free. We made a few trips up to Basalt to shop at Whole Foods in our rental car, but even that could be done on the public transit if preferred.
The house feels like someone's home, opened up to you. It is decorated with original art work (painted by member's of the owners family) and there are a superb collection of books on many different subjects of interest. There were both fresh flowers and a pot of daffodils in the kitchen blooms, and it was nice to arrive to a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
What I would stress most is how clean the house was. Every dish, every pot and pan, even bowls on the tops of cabinets were clean and ready to use. This was really nice for us as our stay was a couple of weeks and we made most of our meals in the house. The kitchen is well equipped with anything you might need and plenty of it.
Kate was very helpful throughout the process, and offers a great place to stay in Aspen while you are vacationing here.
Kate was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for a great long weekend in Aspen. The house is huge and has a ton of space for sleeping accommodations, eating a group breakfast before a day of skiing and relaxing in front of the TV afterward. Three grouped rooms plus a separated master suite upstairs would make for a great family layout. Four FULL bathrooms also make getting ready as a group very easy. The location really is perfect as it's located on a quiet street off Main St and less than a 10 minute walk to the walking malls and Ajax gondola. I would definitely recommend a stay here for a group looking to have a great place to call home for a couple days. Thanks, Kate!
We had a great time in Aspen, staying at Kate Weese's house. The location is perfect. We could walk to town easily and take the public buses to any of the ski locations. The house itself was very comfortable, spacious and perfect for us. The beds were so comfortable! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook all of our meals. The bathrooms had great water pressure. In other words, we were very happy with the house and would recommend it to anyone.
Kate's home was absolutely perfect for our stay. It was homey and very well equipped. It was spacious, clean and perfectly located. It was a pleasure to rent from Kate. Thanks again, would love to stay there again!
