Located in a quiet neighborhood, you can't beat the easy access to everything important in Crested Butte. My 2 bedroom south facing unit is comfortable and warm. Full kitchen and internet make this room perfect for a solo traveler or a couple.

The Space

I am renting out the master bedroom for a solo person or a couple. The room is comfortable and the queen sized bed is unbelievable for a good night's sleep.

Guest Access

Guests are welcome to use the living room space and kitchen any time during your stay. There is a washer/dryer in the downstairs bathroom.

Interaction with Guests

I am a friendly person but respect privacy and the need for quiet. I try to let the guest "lead" in this respect. I am happy to share stories, share advice about Crested Butte adventuring. I have lived here for almost 17 years and am an avid mountain biker, hiker and cross country skier. Most important to me is that my guests feel comfortable and at home.

The Neighborhood

My building is on the corner, across from a large town park. This means that I have great views, with a feeling of openness. Being one of four townhouse units, all owner-occupied, there is a nice neighborly charm to my block.

Getting around

My house is close to the free shuttle bus, downtown, the grocery store, the local Center for the Arts and the movie theatre. I have one off-street parking space for guests. During big snowstorms, you can park your car and let the free town bus escort you around!

  • We absolutely loved staying with Sami. She is an exceptional host. Sami recommended some great things for us to do in the area and told us about some delicious restaurants. We enjoyed talking to Sami in her free time, too. The room is very comfortable and filled with lots of art. It has all the small touches that make it feel just like home. We loved staying here! We hope to return one day!

  • We loved our stay and highly recommend Sami's cozy and adorable home! The exposed wood and eclectic artwork felt really inviting. We really only used the bed and bathroom but the rest looked awesome as well. The room and bed were a nice size and comfortable, with windows letting in great light and fresh mountain air. The location was great! We parked and walked to town for dinner, took the free shuttle bus up the mountain to explore, then walked back to the house and back to town a couple more times, so it really is close and easy to get to restaurants and shops. We enjoyed talking to Sami for a short time before we left in the morning - she is lovely and welcoming, and we would love to stay again!

  • Everything in the listing and her bio and the previous reviews are spot on! Sami is a busy person, but is reliable and will make sure you're set up with everything you need for a great stay. Although the home is cozy, the bedroom has plenty of space and storage. A clean home with a nice, warm shower after a day of activities, and a comfortable bed for a good night's sleep. Love the unique artwork throughout the place. Perfect location to explore the town and access the mountain. And if you do catch Sami during some down time, she's good for some friendly convo, insider tips, and if you're lucky, maybe a masterful home-brewed coffee!

  • I loved my stay at Samantha's place, and highly recommend it (and Crested Butte in general). The home is lovely, as is the host! Samantha's is really comfortable and feels like home, with a spacious bedroom, a wonderful bed, 1. 5 baths (with a hot, high-flow shower), a full kitchen, and a comfy living room area downstairs. It is extremely well-located, with an easy walk to the beautifully renovated Main Street, a grocery, a wine store, a theater & more in town, and to a free frequent city bus to the ski hill! If you're driving, there is also super easy street parking near Samantha's home.
I'd never been to Crested Butte before, but after visiting there and staying with Samantha, I'm sure I'll be back!

  • Our stay at Sami's was absolutely ideal. We stayed there on our first pass through town and liked it so much that we did it again when passing back through on our drive home. Her house is cozy and comfortable with a mountain-retreat feel, with lots of beautiful exposed wood and artwork on the walls. The location is great--walking distance form downtown CB. Sami gives off a vibe of being extremely organized and reliable, while also being laid-back and accommodating. We didn't see her much while we were at her place as she gave us lots of space, but we but went out for a drink with her on our second stay and talked late into the evening.

I am 39 years old and have lived in crested butte for almost 17 years. I am self-employed and am a hard worker. I grew up in Santa Cruz, California and although I miss the ocean in my life, I love living in the mountains here in Crested Butte. I mountain bike, hike and ski. There is something about the fresh air and the majesty of this place that makes life feel more real for me. I love feeling tired at the end of a long bike ride, eating a big meal and hopefully enjoying some time with a friend. I enjoy good movies, good books and good conversation. I think quiet time is a forgotten art and that we all need more time spent outside just enjoying the day.
