My guest and I loved Patricia's place! She is a wonderful host and took great care of us. We loved visiting Sedona but it was great getting out of the tourist energy and relaxing in our cottage! We loved being able to cook for ourselves too. We will go back I'm sure!
Patricia's guest house is a lovely space, roomy and well-supplied with a full-sized kitchen (no stove, but full-sized fridge and microwave), small but adequate bathroom, lovely bed and linens. It is perched on a hillside with stunning views. A bit hard to find, down a dirt lane - we asked at a neighbours. We saw little of Patricia, but she was lovely. Her helper, Joanne, was very helpful when we had questions, and was very knowledgeable about attractions in the area. The breakfast was very light (coffee, juice, fresh fruit, banana bread and toast, yogurt), but Joanne was cheerfully accomodating when I joined her in the kitchen to make additional food for my men, using our leftover camping food. She is about 20 minutes from Sedona, but close by Old Cottonwood and Jerome. We actually spent more time outside of the touristy Sedona area and enjoyed the old towns and national monuments closer to Patricia's. A lovely place - recommended.
The Flying Eagle was exactly what we had hoped for. A quiet location, unassuming and clean quarters including the bathroom with personality and interesting decorations. The guests were friendly and very responsive online and in person. The house was easy to find. The views from the front yard are really memorable and so were the night skies full of stars that we city people do not get to enjoy as much.
We really enjoyed our stay at Flying Eagle - peaceful and relaxing at the foothills of the Mingus Mountains. Guest house was everything we had hoped for - spacious, great kitchen area to prep and unpack from the day's adventure. Gracious host who respected our privacy but gave us good tips about what to see in Cottonwood and Jerome. We enjoyed our breakfasts visiting with Joanne and savoring her fresh breads and fruit. She's a peach! Hope we'll get back there again soon. Bruce & Jim
This is a lovely respite. Everything was perfect, including the hummingbird and roadrunner that I enjoyed sitting on the patio drinking my coffee. I would recommend it to everyone.
This is a great place to stay if you're in the Sedona area. Just a few minutes from town yet you feel like you're out in the country. Complete privacy in the well appointed guest house. Comfortable bed and quiet only broken by the sound of birds singing in the morning.
Excellent room - plenty of space and the kitchenette was awesome. The host was extremely gracious and loved the location. Indoor fireplace is great as well. Kitchen was open all the time and breakfast had sweet nut bread and kitchen appliances were readily available.
Overall - Excellent experience!

Hi, I am the owner/ innkeeper at Flying Eagle B&B in Clarkdale, AZ. I have lived in this area for 18 years, originally from Orange County, New York. Lucky for me, my children and grandchildren relocated to Arizona also, after visiting and falling in love with the weather and the geography. I love my area because of the 'Verde Valley' and the mountains I can see from the front and rear of my property. I also enjoy that I can drive a short distance north for cooler, or south for warmer weather. I am walking distance to Yavapai Community College, where there are many activities (art, music, the new vineyards) and classes for every age. Popular Red Rocks of Sedona is a sight from my 'picture postcard' windows. I enjoy hosting friends and family visiting the area and love learning about other places I want to visit from my many wonderful guests. I love the beauty of nature, music that soothes the soul, learning about life, movies about all kinds of relationships, and I love to eat so I am often 'at lunch' with friends. We have so many local restaurants that you won't find in other places. I hope you visit soon.
