We loved staying here! It's even cuter in real life, if that's possible, and the location is fantastic. It's easy to get down to the hike and bike trail on the Colorado River which is a great way to get to Zilker Park. It's close to downtown and shopping on SoCo (the St. Vincent de Paul boutique is awesome). Check in was a breeze and Kat was quick to answer when I had questions. Staying here made my first Airbnb experience exceptional.
Great location and ideal to S Congress area. Space was perfect for a family trip to Austin. Looking forward to staying there again.
The French Birdhouse was great! We has a wonderful time and it was even better than we thought it would be. Adorable and bright and so close to great neighborhoods, Whole Foods, Book People - everywhere we wanted to go. Kat was a great host - available whenever I had questions from how to work the tv to where to find a 24 hour pharmacy. She is super organized and made everything very easy. We'd definitely stay here again! My family who lives in Austin was jealous!
Kat was great -- friendly, organized, responsive -- and the place was clean, cozy, and well decorated. It has everything you need and the beds are comfy. It's in a quiet neighborhood but right down the street from a lot of cool restaurants and shops. I had a great stay!
We stayed with Kat for 3 months, and I can't imagine it going any better! She was an attentive host who was always quick with a reply if we had any questions. She left a list of suggestions for us upon arrival with many of the places being within walking distance.
The birdhouse was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. I love Kat's sense of style and decoration. Anything we required was accessible and I love it that there is a washer and dryer as well.
The location was also prime. It is easy to walk to Congress street or Lady Bird trail. If you have a bicycle, you can ride down to the lake and start the trail from there. You are also close to interstates, multiple grocery stores, the mall and downtown if you wish to drive.
The whole experience with Kat was great, and I would certainly suggest you stay with her during your Austin experience.
