We joined Airbnb because when we travel, we want to do more than just stay in hotels. We want to experience the culture and the only way to truly do that is to meet the locals.
Bunny & Ted, were lovely hosts. They filled us in on the must see places and even supplied maps.
In the morning, they provided us with a satisfying breakfast and encouraged us to be on our way to explore the culturally rich area of Boulder.
Their original, eclectic home was a literal feast for the eyes; filled with Bunny's paintings and the art work of their talented children.
The set of rooms we stayed in were comfortable. I wasn't sure from the photos what the layout was going to be like. We pretty much had our own cozy suite. There are two rooms on either end with a private bathroom & study/office in the center. Since there were only two of us, we used the second room to stage the suitcases and the office to download the photos from our travels on to our laptop.
We so enjoyed our stay in their magical home without corners and are so pleased to have met Bunny & Ted. They added to the experience of our wonderful vacation.

Sometimes it is the people you encounter that makes the listing! This is the case with Bunny and Ted. We felt like we were allowed in to a magical, highly intelligent and talented family. Memories were made! It should also be noted that within a quarter mile of the property there is an open space hiking area in the hills above Boulder. Gorgeous views inside and out! Lovely experience all around.
The picture of this unusual home reveals a very small part of our stay. The room was adequate for our needs and comfy. The history of its creation was fascinating The art work of Bunny and her son was fascinating; it was like being in a museum with our own personal docent. The BEST part, however, were our hosts. Gracious, accommodating and interesting. We all had so much in common it was almost scary. We could have stayed "home" and chatted the entire day. Great location, great area and GREAT people. Will certainly be returning.
This was an outstanding experience. The home and room was as advertised. The hosts are wonderful people and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and welcome. Unique property in the mountains yet only minutes from town.
Bunny welcomed us personally and spent a little time even though she had personal things to attend to. This was a nice touch that we really appreciated.
Bunny and Ted were the most gracious and inspiring hosts. We were on a 2 week road trip with only 2 nights at their amazing home (we wish we had the full 2 weeks there).
The entire experience was surreal!! Bunny showed us her wonderful artists studio and the breakfast each morning was delicious! We really enjoyed spending our mornings with them having great conversations and felt immediately comfortable and at home. The house was simply breathtaking. We will never forget our time spent with these two wonderful souls.
My cousin and I had the most extraordinary visit with Ted and Bunny in their gorgeous home. We had our own private quarters that included a steam bath, and enjoyed the Rubin's delightful company at breakfast. Surrounded by spectacular art and spectacular mountain views made our visit unforgettable. We will certainly return to be with our new friends.
my husband and i have lived in our home for 22 years amidst the pines deer, fox and birds.....my painting studio is a few steps from the house......our three artist children's work is here as well.....my husband is a former juvenile court judge.......and we have a very spiritual cat!! we look forward to your visit.......bunny r.
