The space

This site features the Master Bedroom with a half bath.

The full bath with shower and bathtub is shared with one other guestroom when occupied.

Our comfortable house has two bedrooms upstairs. The Master bedroom has a king-sized bed and 1/2 bathroom, and our "train room" two twin beds, and a common bathroom with bathtub/shower. Downstairs is a pull-out couch that can sleep two in the den and a long sofa in the living room, and a half bath.

Downstairs you will also find an open living room/dining room with grand piano, a warm fireplace insert and a common kitchen.

Wi-fi is available for your laptops but we have neither TV nor Radio.

We are close to Route 9 which means you can find us easily and reach us even in the winter snow. The nearest stores and restaurants are 4 miles away. Our lake is a 10 minute walk away. The canoe is a 20 minute walk as it is at the other end of the lake.

We would love to share our home with you. WELCOME!

Anna's home is a cozy retreat for a winter getaway. She was able to book us last minute and accommodate us even though we arrived 30 minutes prior to the time we had emailed her. It was delightful chatting and learning about her life experiences and community. Anna is also considerate of diet restrictions and preferences, adapting the breakfast menu as necessary. She has just had a new shower installed the day we arrived and the controls were a little mixed up but she is going to ask the contractor to fix it. Overall, it was comfortable place to crash after a day of winter hiking and exploration and close to local dinner spots in the evening. We will be back the next time we hike in that area of the Adirondacks.

Anna was welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. She gave us great suggestions about where to find great hiking places and sights to see. We would definitely stay there again. Great breakfast, great company.

Communication with Anna was exceptional, as was the convenience of her home, and her warm personal welcome when I finally arrived after a long day of travel and attendance at a memorial service several hours away. Her home is peaceful (I slept with the windows open so I could hear the gentle rain in her backyard), the bed incredibly comfortable (I slept thru the night without wakening once, which is very rare for me, especially away from home), and I truly felt like I was at "home away from home"! Thank you, Anna - I hope to stay with you again soon!

I had a wonderful stay at Anna's house and wish I could have stayed longer! Anna is a fabulous host, very attentive - she had lots of great tips and advice for exploring the beautiful area of the Adirondacks, and the breakfast she prepared was simply amazing and delicious. She even took me on a canoe trip on the nearby lake on the first evening when I arrived and I was just blown away by the sheer beauty of the nature that's right at the doorstep. I will be back for sure, and can highly recommend this place to everyone.

Anna was a great host! She's warm & friendly & her home is quite comfortable. She made us a complete hot breakfast & was was very accommodating of my wife's dietary restrictions. She gave us several suggestions for things to do in the area (& beyond) for dinner & beautiful hikes. All in all a really nice place to stay. Wish we could've stayed longer.

I am a world travelled woman, speak English and German, French (some Spanisch and Italien) and know many of the secrets and wonders of the Adirondack Park in Summer and Winter. I love people and good conversations. Also check out my (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) page Page (Anna's B&B) and feel free to contact me there anytime.
