Francis was a great host - easy to communicate with and had a well stocked, clean apartment. I loved staying at his place in Melbourne. I really enjoyed the record player, the fresh air from the balcony, the nintendo, and heavy blankets on the bed (one of my favorite things). Great location as well. It was perfect for what I was looking for!
The apartment was fantastic, in a really great location in Melbourne. We really enjoyed the cozy feel. Francis was a great host, being available when we had questions, and providing useful amenities. The use of the spa and pool in the apartment complex was a very welcome extra bonus.
My girlfriend and I loved staying at Francis's apartment and it really made our Melb trip memorable. Great location and a great vibe, we walked everywhere in town and the cafe downstairs has GREAT coffee! Francis was a great host and we will definitely come back to his apartment when we come back down south! Thanks again mate!
Brought my wife to Melb for a long weekend without the kids and to get her out of the rut of her daily routine. She is also a neat freak so Francis' apartment certainly shook things up for her with his eclectic collections of art, books, records, cameras, etc that adorn this special space.
I found the apartment very homely and inviting whilst my wife loved sitting in the morning sun that streamed through the front windows. The location is superb for the Queen Vic markets, and Melbourne CBD in general and the apartment was really quiet (which helped our sleep ins). The cafe downstairs was delightful and the neighborhood and building felt safe.
If Francis doesn't get back to you the first time you try & make contact then try again in a few days as he may be touring and uncontactable, and it would be a shame to miss out on staying here if it has taken your fancy. Once initial contact was made communication with Francis was easy with great instructions on getting there and getting in.
I wish I could have spent a week here as I barely had time to play a couple of records from his large collection. This apartment just cries out for you to sit back, relax, explore its charms and soak up the ambience, but alas we had shopping to buy, football to attend (go Kangas) and relatives to visit.
I highly recommend Francis' home and hope I get the chance to stay here again.
Francis was a lovely host and his place provided a wonderful jumping off point in the centre of Melbourne. Francis went above and beyond, offering his favorite tips, bars and restaurants to explore Melbourne like a local and was always contactable. We would definitly stay again! Thanks for a great stay!
I could not be happier with my first Airbnb experience. Francis' house is everything you'd ever want when traveling to Melbourne. An immaculate home, Within arms reach of Melbourne central, beautiful views from the balcony, a beautiful cafe next door and not to mention francis himself being as helpful as one can be. Francis goes the extra mile for his guest and even gave us myki cards, As I'm from Sydney and we don't have trams (they scare me) we didn't use them. But it's the thought that counts.
