An entire lovely, comfortable, quiet and relaxing 2 bedroom, 1 bath condo in Bernal Heights to retreat to and to enjoy living like a local. It has FABULOUS 180 city views, hardwood floors, skylights. Bernal Heights is next to the vibrant, and upcoming hip Mission District.

I am a registered short-term rental host and have a Short Term Rental permit. I urge all guests viewing my listing to only book your short-term rental with hosts that are operating legally in the City of San Francisco.

The space

My condo is a light -filled two bedroom, one bath condo in Bernal Heights that has fabulous 180 degree views of the city. The condo is filled with light with high beamed ceilings, hardwood floors, and a tiled kitchen and bathroom.

Bernal Heights is a village-like neighborhood just right next to the vibrant, hip and eclectic Mission District. It is a neighborhood considered by real estate agents to be the most sought after places to live in San Francisco because it's one of the most sunny areas of San Francisco and close to the Freeways. Street parking is free. A leisure 12-15 walk to the BART train station at 24th and Mission will take you downtown in 5-7 minutes.

Harvest Street Market just about two and a half blocks down Folsom is a convenient place to pick up some quick groceries. Across the street from Harvest Market is Hillside Supper Club. And a short walk across Precita Park will bring you to Precita Cafe for an informal meal in a delightful setting. For more restaurants go over the hill to the south side and on Cortland Avenue there are many more restaurants, cafes, an art gallery, a larger grocery store called Good Life and several specialty shops. Need a little exercise? Then take a stroll up to the top of Bernal Heights hill for more fabulous views. You will be rewarded with a 360 degree panoramic view of the San Francisco and the entire Bay.

Feel like abit some action? Just a quick jaunt down the hill is the Mission District which while maintaining it's Latin flavor , is constantly being upgraded with new restaurants, cafes, bars and boutiques making it the "hip" scene. Walk down Valencia Street and which almost every week has a new restaurant or boutique or club event. Valencia Street and the neighborhood west of it is called the "goumet ghetto".

Feel like doing some shopping or visiting some Museums? A BART ride from 24th and Mission Street to Powell Street will be less than a 10 minute BART ride. Or take a ride to Haight Asbury and experience the Hippy flavor of San Francisco. Then walk over to the Golden Gate Park and vist the fabulous De Young Museum and the Academy of Science. Then come home from a hectic day to a warm, comfortable, quiet retreat where you can just hang and enjoy the city views and watch the fog or clouds just roll over the city with a nice glass of wine or a nice hot cup of herbal tea.

There is wireless internet service, and should you want to watch TV, a nice flat screen TV in the living room. Or sit back and just listen to some great music from my vast selection of music CDs or watch a movie or concert . Music DVDs are in the living room and movie DVDs are in the guest bedroom.

San Francisco is a walking city. If you do not feel like walking up or down Bernal Heights, the Muni 67 Bus stops at the end of my street and will take you over to Mission and 24th Street where the BART station is located and connection to other buses around the city can be hopped on or over the hill to Cortland Avenue. Using Uber or Lyft is a quick way to move around the city, but avoid driving downtown because many streets are closed and traffic snarls are bound to happen during Superbowl week. If want to rent a car to visit the Redwoods or the Wine Country, just call or book a car online with Enterprise Car Rental on Charter Oaks located on the East side of Bernal Heights and you can arrange for them to come pick you up and they will also drop you off home after you turn the car in. Tell Andy the manager that you guests of Cecilia Khoo.

Everyone who has stayed or visited here has mentioned that Bernal Heights is the best kept secret in San Francisco and I am sure you will agree after your stay here.

Guest access

As guests who are renting my entire condo while I am away on vacation, you will have access to the entire condo unit *except* the loft, garage or storage areas. Please ensure that the front gate is always locked as you enter and exit the condo complex.

Interaction with guests

I can be reached anytime by calling or texting my cell phone number. Please respect the neighbors and do not bother them.

This is a 6 unit condo building and most of the residents have lived here for 20 years or more. They are nice neighbors but like peace and quiet. You will have all the privacy at home and quiet hours are 10 pm - 9 am. All front doors of each condo look exactly alike so please ensure you are opening the door to the correct condo unit.

Other things to note

This condo is located on a hill and is on the very top floor, hence the great views. There is no elevator and guests will have to climb a circular wooden staircase approximate two floors up to reach my condo. I apologize but I cannot accommodate the disabled, small children or anyone who has difficult going up and down the stairs. Pets are not allowed as I am extremely allergic to dander. My neighbor downstairs does not like people hearing people walking around in shoes, especially with hard soles so please bring flip flops or walk around in socks or bare feet while in the condo.

Amazing, everything we needed. The view is incredible, and the location can't be beat. The fresh oranges and juicer were a lot of fun each morning. Also among the best communication I've ever had on Airbnb. Easy and helpful. Staying here made our time in San Francisco incredible.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I walked in the front door. I literally put down my bags and walked over to the living room window to take in the amazing view. It didn't end there. Looking out of the bedroom window gave me panoramic views of the city. After I took in the view it was possible to pay attention to the inside of Gina's apartment. Every surface was clean and dust free, as advertised. If you have allergies this is the place to be. My work schedule was based on low tide, so I was out by 4:45 most mornings. This didn't stop Gina from preparing fresh squeezed orange juice for me the night before though. Gina's restaurant suggestions and general information about SF were better than Yelp. Stay here and you won't be disappointed!

Gina was a very welcoming and hospitable host--the first day I arrived she brought me to the Off The Grid event at Fort Mason. She did whatever possible to make me feel at home and help me out whenever I had any questions. Knowing my penchant for mexican and ethnic food in SF, she immediately recommended a list of restaurants and eateries, many of which I tried and really enjoyed. I definitely recommend Gina as a host.

Gina saved my life - or at least my plans for three days in SF. I hadn't realized that September is really the height of the travel season for SF, what with conventions, big concerts, Fleet Week and everything. Staying with Gina was also a great experience. She was very helpful with suggestions and getting around the neighborhood. Her apartment is beautiful with great views of San Francisco, in a wonderful neighborhood - just up the hill is a beautiful park.

I am a LEGAL San Francisco Short Term Rental Host and possess both a STR Permit and a Business License.

San Francisco has been my home for 23 years and I love my condo and I love my city!

I've lived in many places abroad and in the US but by far, San Francisco is my favorite place in the whole wide world.

Having said that, I would like to visit the whole wide world!! I love to travel and enjoy meeting new and interesting people. I am passionate about music and enjoy almost anything to do with the Arts. On a cold rainy day I love a good book or movie. I especially appreciate good company and good conversation but I also like my privacy and alone time. I am a foodie and am always looking for good restaurants or eateries and am blessed that San Francisco has many of these.

I totally subscribe to living a sustainable life-style and appreciate if you join me in creating a greener planet. California had four years of drought and while we had more rain and snow this winter, we are still encouraged to conserve water as much as possible in the event the drought returns.

Suffice to say I love nature and enjoy camping and hiking. My favorite nature spot is being in the Redwoods and I never tire of Yosemite. But there are so many other great nature places in California to visit and enjoy.

I am a non-smoker and I apologize for having a very weak immune system but I am allergic to animal dander, cigarette smoke, dust, pollen and strong scents just to name a few. All my bedding has hypo-allergenic encasings.

I work from home and so am flexible about check-in and check-out times depending on whether I already have a guest and if I have meetings, etc..
iI have a full time job and while I work at home most of the time, occasionally I do visit customers or need to run personal errands. I would appreciate confirmed guests letting me in advance their time of arrival and departure.

Also my condo address is not going to be visible from the street level so please read carefully directions to my place and how to contact me as you turn in my street so I can look out for you.

Please do not bother neighbors if you cannot figure out where address is when you arrive. Just call me at my home phone or send me a text message!

Thank You and looking forward to making your acquaintance.

Cecilia
