We are also located near Egan's Greek Greenway, a natural preserve where you can explore many grass covered maintained trails. Depending on the season, and time of day, you may see a river otter, bobcat, alligator, or birds such as the great blue heron, anhinga, osprey, bald eagle, roseate spoonbill and more. There are 2 bicycles available for enjoying the sites around the historic city, riding along the marsh, the beach, or visiting beautiful Fort Clinch State Park. We offer beach chairs, an umbrella, beach bag and towels to use during your stay.
Amelia Island is a wonderful place to visit, it's beaches are not crowded, the historic district is quaint, there are many talented musicians that play in the pubs and restaurants at night, the atmosphere is laid back, and the local food is amazing!
Jacksonville is only a 45 minute drive, St. Augustine is 1 1/2 hours south, Daytona is 2 hours south, and Savannah is 2 hours north for Day trips, if you feel like venturing off the Island. There are rental cars available at Jacksonville International airport and one on the Island as well as Taxi service.
We adopted a dog from a shelter. His name is Parker and he is so sweet and smart. To those who have animal allergies like myself, Parker does not go into the bedrooms or bathrooms.
After a day of exploring the Island and other areas nearby you can relax on the deck with a glass of wine or wake up to coffee, enjoying it on the deck listening to the morning birds singing their songs.
Amelia Island has no public transportation but we do have three taxi services.
8 Flags of Amelia Island: $55.00 fee for airport pick up one way.
Island Hopper: $60.00 fee for airport pick up one way.
However if you would like me to pick you up the fee is $20.00 one way.

Description with one word: PERFECT!!
So lovely, so cozy, so clean!!
Because of our roadtrip we could just enjoy one night. Next time we will spend our whole vacation by Deborah and Bobby :D
Deborah and Bobby warmly welcomed us when we arrived. The room was beautiful and the bed was cozy...they even had robes in the closet for us! Linens were perfect! Bath had everything from hairdryer to shampoo & conditioner and toiletries just in case you forgot yours. Every detail was thought of, even remembering that it was my moms birthday! She woke to a birthday card and coffee (how thoughtful)! Their dog Parker was beautiful, so smart and well behaved! He never once came into our room. We didn't spend much time at the house because we were only there 2 days and we wanted to spend it all on the Island! The little time we did spend at their home we had LOTS of conversation. They made you feel welcomed.
Debbie and Bobby were really great, gracious and hospitable hosts. More so than many of the other places we have stayed. The room was perfect and they even offered to serve us breakfast!
Bob & Deborah go above and beyond to make your stay extremely comfortable. The room is just as pictured, very clean and cozy. Our stay was short and sweet. We would definitely boom here again. Also, if you are a runner their is a trail right outside of the neighborhood!! Really made my day!
Deborah and Bobby were great! The room is more beautiful than it looks in the picture - it's decorated with Deborah's fantastic artwork. They were flexible with our arrival, and so welcoming when we arrived. Deborah told us everything we needed to know, and provided some materials about the island that were really helpful. We spent two afternoons at the beach, and we were able to borrow some beach equipment that helped to make it a great time. Their dog, Parker, is totally adorable and incredibly well-behaved... if you've ever hesitated to stay somewhere with a dog, don't worry about this one at all, and if you love dogs, this will be a paradise for you! I can't give enough positive feedback - this Airbnb was a great experience and we'd stay again in a heartbeat. We felt totally comfortable and welcome.
We absolutely loved staying in Deborah and Bobbies home! Great location and a lovely home in a beautiful neighborhood. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were soft and the pillows were great. They recommended restaurants for us as well. We live close by in St. Augustine and enjoyed our weekend getaway. WELL worth the price! And they made good coffee. Their dog "Parker" is awesome too! Deborah even has the guest bath stocked with "everything and more" in case you forgot anything.
Nice clean comfortable room and home in great location. Just a few blocks to public beach access. Very friendly hosts.
