The Space

We offer a small bedroom with a private bath not accessed from the bedroom but from the adjacent hall. Our home is a one level, split bedroom design with the master suite on one end and a bedroom and bath on the other end. Guests will be welcome to use the kitchen with a reserved shelf in the refrigerator, living room, laundry room with ironing area, computer, and gas grill on the deck. We also have ATT U-Verse and Wi-Fi. The bedroom has a brand new Queen bed to accommodate two, a TV , comfortable chair for reading, and a provided hair dryer in the private bath along with spa like linens.

If you need additional accommodations and are of the same party, we also have another guest bedroom. The room has a full bed, TV and use of Netflix for an extra $25.00 a night. You will have to contact us by making an inquiry through airbnb to see if it's available before booking the additional room.

We also provide a Pack and Play and stroller for those traveling with a baby.

The home is located about a block and 1/2 from the beach; so close you can hear the ocean at night. We are also located near Egan's Greek Greenway, a natural preserve where you can explore many grass covered maintained trails. Depending on the season, and time of day, you may see a river otter, bobcat, alligator, or birds such as the great blue heron, anhinga, osprey, bald eagle, roseate spoonbill and more. There are 3 bicycles available for enjoying the sites around the historic city, riding along the marsh, the beach, or visiting beautiful Fort Clinch State Park. We also offer beach chairs and towels to use during your stay.

Amelia Island is a wonderful place to visit, it's beaches are not crowded, the historic district is quaint, there are many talented musicians that play in the pubs and restaurants at night, the atmosphere is laid back, and the local food is amazing!

Jacksonville is only a 45 minute drive, St. Augustine is 1 1/2 hours south, Daytona is 2 hours south, and Savannah is 2 hours north for Day trips, if you feel like venturing off the Island. There are rental cars available at Jacksonville International airport and one on the Island as well as Taxi service.

We recently adopted a dog from a shelter. His name is Parker and he is so sweet and smart. To those who have animal allergies like myself, Parker does not go into the bedrooms or bathrooms.

After a day of exploring the Island and other areas nearby you can relax on the deck with a glass of wine or wake up to coffee, enjoying it on the deck listening to the morning birds singing their songs.

  • We had a wonderful stay on Amelia Island. Deborah and Bobby were great hosts, the room and bathroom were immaculate and comfortable, and we swam in the ocean, walked on the beach, hiked in a swamp and saw some alligators. What a great place all the way around.

  • Staying with Debbie and Bobby was the best decision and the most wonderful airbnb experience ever. They were so welcoming, warm, helpful and treated us like family. Not only did we have a fantastic, tastefully decorated and clean room, we also had so much fun cooking and talking with them while listening to Bobby's music, playing with Parker and viewing Debbie's paintings and jewelry.
We cannot recommend this place highly enough - if you ever come across Amelia Island you should not miss out staying here! Thank you so much, Debbie and Bobby!

  • We enjoyed our stay with Deborah and Bobby. Their accommodations and company lived up to all the positive reviews we read. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed to have a memorable visit.

  • Our stay with the Carrolls could not have been more perfect. It's almost hard to put each wonderful element into words. Deborah and Bobby were more hospitable than family. From clearing a shelf for us in the fridge to providing a comprehensive binder of menus and maps, they had thought of everything. Their home was beautiful, warm, and welcoming. Our vacation was made complete through their delicious dining suggestions, and superb hiking exploration advice. We were directed to a number of fine spots for alligators, sunsets, and lighthouses. So many features of Amelia Island arejust moments from their front door. To top it off, Deb and Bobby offered stimulating conversation of world travel and the arts. Their dog Parker was incredible. In addition to being well trained and polite, he was a friendly delight that would complete the perfect vacation for any dog lover. It would be our privilege to visit the area again and stay with such good company.

  • Wow! What wonderful people, a beautiful house, and the best adorable doggy Parker :-) Debbie & Bobbie radiate southern charm and their spacious and light filled home is in a quiet and very safe neighborhood adjacent to the beach and plenty of walking trails. They were very helpful with recommendations for things to see and do on Amelia Island and even pointed me to the Mustard Seed cafe that has plenty of vegan options for healthy eating. I also enjoyed all of our casual conversation, they are just good hearted people. The island is a little paradise off the beaten path and staying with Debbie, Bobby, & Parker was the cherry on top! I would recommend them to anyone and hope to stay with them again in the future.

  • Our stay with Debbie and Bobby was simply awesome! It felt like we were home. We've already told several of our friends and they are looking forward to staying there someday. We loved the attention to detail, the decor of the room (including original artwork by Debbie herself), the comfort of the bed and the conversations about art, travel, kids, and life! When we arrived we were starving and Debbie recommended us a great restaurant and it was perfect! The next day Bobby had their bikes ready for us and we went on our own adventure through the trails (really close by) to Ft. Clinch. Amelia Island is beautiful! Debbie suggested we watch the sunset by the Marina and it was an beautiful moment! Highly recommend it! I was thinking how lame it would have been to stay at a hotel. Every time we drove back to the house I felt like i was going to a family members home! Almost forgot to mention how wonderful their dog Parker is! We already miss it but this weekend will always have a special place in our hearts. Hope to come back soon!

  • Debbie and Bobby opened not their house, but their home to us. Although we don't own a dog, afterwards, we agreed that Parker was exactly the kind we would get. They provided several pillows to ensure our peaceful slumber. The bedroom is not only well appointed but tastefully decorated. Their home is well situated to many of the local attractions and we especially enjoyed riding the bikes they lent us to the local parks.
