Studio apartment with Queen size bed, full couch (fold out bed), flat screen TV, safe, microwave, mini kitchen, and lanai. Just 3 minutes walk to Waikiki Beach, shopping and a great array of restaurants and activities. Buildings amenities include free Internet, pool, lobby restaurant/cafe, laundry and paid parking is available.
This is a hotel, transformed into a condo/hotel. We have taken it out of the hotel pool, so you can pay a lot less (published rate is $275/nite) and save money for other things like shopping or tourist experiences. The price includes the 14.72% Transient Tax. This is a 'Suite', the largest floor plan available in the building, with sitting area, wet bar, micro-wave and fridge. You are right in the middle of all the action of Waikiki, along with the only supermarket, right next door. The hotel has nice amenities, like pool, workout area, free morning coffee & afternoon punch in Lobby, bar-b-que area and free wifi. There is a cafe in the lobby, as well as a buffet diner and sundry shop. No need for a rental car the whole time your here, however, you may want to consider for a couple days, just to get out and see all that Oahu has to offer. Parking is available in the building at $22/day, or you can find free parking on the Blvd, just outside, but watch out for Monday and Friday street sweeping, when they will tow.
Prior to arrival, Don and Terri will provide check in instructions for the unit. There is a lockbox on the front door, with additional keys inside the unit.
Interaction with Guests
Terri and Don live just outside of Waikiki, about 10 minutes away and can be reached by phone or email in the event of any problems. Checkout will be through leaving the keys in the unit and leaving. It's as easy as that.
You are located just 5 minutes (2 blocks) to beautiful Waikiki Beach. Countless number of restaurants, bars and shopping stores. The Food Pantry, Waikiki's only grocery store is located right next door. Exercise while walking up and down the Ala Wai Canal, which is 2.5 miles long. There a ton of things to do in Waikiki and you will be in the middle of it all.
Waikiki is 2 miles long, by 1/2 mile wide. Walking around is the best way to see it all. Taxis are prevalent everywhere, as well as places to rent bikes or mopeds. Uber and Lyft are available and are half of what a taxi costs. The Bus goes down Kuhio Ave. (just 300' from the room), and takes you to Ala Moana Shopping Center (3mi), where you can catch another bus to anywhere on the island.
Other Things to Note
Minimum 3 nights stay, unless there is 2 nights in between bookings, please.
This room is NOT in the HOTEL POOL. Do not go to the front desk for anything. The concierge is okay, as they are an independent company and can assist you with attractions and reservations. For early check ins or late departures, the front Desk will watch your bags for you, but they are not obligated to, SO please give them a tip.
It was really good choice to stay at Terri & Don 's place. Here is perfect location for vacation. This is my third time using airbnb, but first time using 3 nights. Whenever I have a question, they replied me back very quickly and made me feel safe. Very easy check in out procedure and I was very surprised with their welcoming gift. Because of them my Hawaii trip could start happily. I would recommend this place for your lovely vacation and want to stay next time again.
I have to admit, I was a bit hesitant to go this route, using Airbnb, but I took the chance. It worked out perfectly. Terri and Don communicated immediately with any questions or concerns I had. We arrived late at night and everything was as they had emailed. No problems at all. I would definitely use Airbnb again and hope to use Terry and Don's studio suite again next year.:) Thanks for making my vacation problem free!
This was our first experience using airbnb so we didn't know what to expect. The condo was as described in the description, clean, all that you need for the beach, close to Waikiki beach, shops etc. we didn't need a car as we used Terri and Don's directions and we easily navigated the bus system to visit Pearl Harbour and Hanauma Bay. We also used their directions to walk to Diamond Head Crater. Lovely welcome note from Terri & Don, a nice touch. We had some questions/ feedback during our stay and Terri & Don responded promptly. Thank you
everthing was nice. terry prepped the room with a little present so we had a perfect aloha-feeling from the start. plus: the apartment is really right in the heart of waikiki. would come back any time!
Thanks so much Terri and Don! Location was great, close to everything you could need. The apartment was clean and totally perfect. Would stay there again.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Terri & Don's studio. It was clean and had everything we needed. Close to waikiki beach and walking distance to everything waikiki has to offer. Another plus is all the free parking on Ala Wai canal! You can pay to park at the hotel but we always found parking along the canal. We would definitely stay here again!
Great suite in Waikiki beach area! Perfect walking distance to everything we wanted to go to!

She retired in 2012 and has since been a physical fitness trainer, Master Instructor, as well as an Active Isolated Stretching practitioner. Don was born and raised in the islands has been an active Licensed Realtor in the area for 22 years. While both work out multiple times a week, Terri teaches 8-10 classes a week, which Don often attends, they also love to go on weekly hikes and take their dogs on long walks around the neighborhood toward Waikiki.
When we travel, we like to stay in affordable, yet comfortable places, opting to spend more money on our outdoor experiences, rather than a posh hotel room. We love to get out and see what the destinations have to offer and prefer to experience the local culture, rather than stay in touristy areas and shopping malls, shopping with the locals and eating in their dining establishments and making new friends.
Travel is a very important part of our lives and we believe in treating guests, the same way we would like to be treated, when we come to visit them, with the 'Aloha Spirit'. E' Komo Mai - Our house is yours.
