A great place to stay in Portland. The house is in a good location, very close to transit (both bus and MAX) as well as some cool shops and restaurants. The caretaker was exceptionally accommodating, and the other guests at the house were super hip.
Pete, the caretaker, is amazing. Go Pete! Give Pete a raise! He deserves it.
I enjoyed the Lewis and Clark Bunkhouse, and you'll enjoy it to. A++, would stay again.
Very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.
We stayed at the Lewis and Clark Bunkhouse and it was perfect! It was clean and friendly and the other guest were really nice. I would definitely come back. Pete was an awesome host.
My friends and I stayed in The Lewis and Clark Bunkhouse for 3 nights and it was great! The location is awesome. We are within walking distance to the trimet train lines and transit is right across the street. The beds are super comfortable and I always had a good nights sleep. There were 5 of us and we made the space work. There were never issues with it being too crowded. Everyone found a space for their stuff. There were other guests staying at the house and everyone was really friendly. Kim is a terrific host and she and Kate had great advice with places to eat and hangout. I would love to stay at any of their properties when I go back to Portland again!
Great experience. Room was really comfortable. The house was very welcoming and clean. Pete was a great host and guide!
Kim and her family were so hospitable! Her and her husband picked me up from the bus stop with all my heavy bags. What a great way to start a trip! Rooms were clean and well decorated :) I really appreciated getting to know her and her family. It's perfect location and very cozy. Next time I go to Portland, I know where I'm staying! :)
These are the sweetest people ever! I'm from Southern California and Kim was one of the first impressions I had of Portland and I immediately fell in love. She is a major sweet heart! The place was absolutely adorable. The moment my friends and I walked in we were speechless because it was AMAZING. Kim was willing to work with our budget which was so sweet of her since my friends and I are broke college students. The location is awesome! Right next to a ton of shops, restaurants, grocery stores, movie theatre, etc. It was about a 5 minute walk from the max as well which was really neat! There were people I'd come across who have an extended stay there and they were all incredibly friendly as well. On our last day, Kim and her daughter offered to give my friends and I a ride to the bolt bus before leaving for seattle. We didn't pay them or anything. 'Rules' of the house were really easy to go by. Pretty much what you'd do at your own home like clean your own dishes, make sure you clean up after yourself after using the bathroom. I'm telling you, REALLY basic stuff. Kim also gave us her phone number and to call her if we needed anything AT ALL. She made her self readily available whenever we needed her. If you're looking for a place to stay that feels like home, affordable, WITH a lovely and sweet person managing it, I'd DEFINITELY stay here !
Well, me and my sister have stayed at this bnb for almost three months, it had actually turned into a home away from home, Kim and her family are pro's at hospitality and interior design and Kim's baking is great. I miss staying here, I have returned to pick up some things being my sister and I moved out a bit early because we found an apartment and it makes me soo nostalgic! I would definitely stay here again it's a home to me!
