The place was great and Damien was a great host.
The place: small one bedroom apartment in a great location. Walking distance to dozens of bars and right near a few public transit lines. The public transit in Berlin is the best thing ever- definitely use it when you are here.
We only met Damien upon our arrival, he let us in the place and stayed with us for 15 minutes explaining the neighborhood and giving us tips, which we appreciated.
Overall it was a great experience and we would stay here again if back in Berlin.
Generally OK - spacious and in a good location. Some shelves in the kitchen would have been useful.
What a great place to stay! The area was really cozy with lots of restaurants and it was easy to go around Berlin from here with bikes, metro or trams. As for the apartment, it was just perfect for the two of us and everything worked well. The balcony was nice on a sunny day's evening! Damian was very welcoming and gave us great advice on what to do and where to go and how. Check in and check out worked conveniently as well. We would definitely recommend this neat and cozy place that has a great location.
Great location and cozy flat with balcony. Lots of good bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood!
4 min to the u-bahn and tram to the main train station. The flat has many maps and info about Berlin.
No cooking facilities except the micro wave, but but don't plan to cook as going out is quite cheap
Damien was a great host and gave us plenty of recommendations for our stay. He was very helpful with his communication. The apartment was lovely, and a perfect size for the two of us. The location was great, in a safe area with plenty of restaurants and things to do just a short distance away.
Damian's apartment is perfect for anyone looking to explore Berlin. The location is great with many public transport stops nearby and many great restaurants in the area. We had a great time and would highly recommend his place!
The flat was in a good spot, had a comfy bed and a large balcony but could do with a bit of work. For instance, the bathroom could have done with a thorough clean and a bit of patching up.
Damian was helpful in pointing out local recommendations and helpful places such as supermarkets.
However, we were a bit disappointed when he asked us the day before our departure to leave the flat by 10:30am without even giving an explanation knowing our flight out wasn't until the evening. He did kindly offer his cafe as a bag locker.
Amy checked in at 1am ( there is an extra charge for late check in - which i waived). I asked her politely to check out at 10.30 to help me with getting ready for the next guest as my cleaning lady had a doctors appointment, instead of the usual 11am, to which she replied - "sure, no problem" - It obviously was a problem for her and she just should have said something. I am extremely flexible with the check in and check out - if you check my reviews and i rarely charge for late check in, or check out. This one time i asked for half an hour.
The bathroom is always spotless - i think Amy is being more than unfair.

About the Host, Damian
I am from London and have been living in Berlin for 10 years now. I am interested in travel, art, music and culture. I have been using Airbnb for about 3 years and have only had great experiences with guests and interacting with the website. I run my own Cafe together with my girlfriend just around the corner from the apartment on Kastanienallee called "Morning Glory"
