Wander the streets of Bruges It's a bit of a cliché when it comes to 'budget tips', but it really is difficult to think of a city nicer to wander around for a few hours than Bruges. • We really enjoyed staying in Bruges, it's a truly beautiful little city and Philip's flat was perfect. The location meant we could access all the main attractions within a couple of minutes walking. The apartment was quite spacious and had a nice feel to it with the old wooden beams. The only downside maybe was the steep sets of stairs and lack of kitchen, but everything is so close by to the apartment anyway. Overall we would very much recommend Philip's lovely flat to those visiting Bruges.

  • Wonderful location and Phillip was very nice. The apartment could have been a tad bit tidier but overall, I would stay here again. Lock box at the door made getting in and out a breeze and Phillip was nice enough to let us leave bags a bit after check out so we could explore more.

  • This is my first bad experience with AirBnb. The place is really nice located but this is quite difficult to be located not in center if we are speaking of such small city like Brugge is! :)
But as to the place than I would not advise it really, especially if you are going there with children (steep stairs) or for a longest stay. There is no kitchen (only tea-pot and some cups in a living room on the 3d floor). The house is quite wet and cold, due to that this is not cozy in it. And this is the first time I've seen the tangles of dust on the floor in the rented flat! I am pretty undemanding person, normally my only demand is clean place and clean linen, I've been to many countries and have seen different places but I did not expect such level in Brugge...
so, sorry, definitely I am not going to come back here. For my luck it was only one night there.

  • Philip is a sweet host. His apt/house is quite clean and very roomy. However, be prepared for steep tight stairs. The layout can be tricky for separate couples as there is no toilet on the top floor (there is shower and sink) and you have to go to second floor to use the toilet. There is no kitchen as such but Philip does provide a small refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle, and coffee maker. There are quiet electric heaters for the rooms but the place can take some time to heat on chilly nights. We were there for only one night so it all worked fine for us. Good idea to bring your own shampoo and soap.

  • A large space for a family and more. Walking distance is just minutes from the town square. We enjoyed our overnight stay in Bruges! thanks Philip who was very helpful!

  • Great location.Once you manage to worm up the place, you can sleep like a baby.Didn't mind the stairs but i did mind the dust and spiderwebs.Host was nowhere to be found, didn't answer to my msgs so, if there was a WiFi, i couldn't use it.

Overall, i enjoyed the City so much and hope to come again.

  • We had a great stay in Brugge at Philip's apartment. It is so easy to find and an easy walk from the station. In a great location for exploring the magic of Brugge and close to many great restaurants and bars as well as other attractions such as the museums, churches, bell tower etc. Philip was a great host, really friendly and welcoming and we had many laughs at his historical guides to Brugge and descriptions of various attractions. I would definitely recommend staying at Philip's!

  • Good location! Philip was very quick to respond back to any of our questions and concerns regarding our stay! Had papers printed and maps out to help us as a guide to plan our day! City was beautiful :)
