The Space

This space is unique because it is filled with amazing art that you will never see anywhere else, It faces a beautiful garden patio and has a view overlooking Warner Center and the hills of the valley. It is nestled up in the mountains and is very cozy and romantic.

Guest Access

Guests will have access to a bathroom, kitchen for breakfast, den and livingroom, and the outdoor patio. In summer the pool is also accessible. Laundryroom is also available.

Interaction with Guests

We spend part of the mornings, and sometimes later in the evening as well. We love to talk with our guests. Carolyn is a fascinating person with her life as a Soprano diva. And I have travelled the world and created art in Europe and in the states. My background is in psychology and education as well. So, lively discussions are part of the flavor of staying here.

The Neighborhood

I love this neighborhood because it is quiet and removed even though we are just blocks from Warner Center and every kind of store or service you need. It is hilly and green, so walks are easy and enjoyable and the neighbors are friendly.

Getting around

If you do not have a car, you can walk fifteen minutes to the bus on Ventura Blvd. which will take you across the valley or to the Orange Bus hub just minutes away where you can access all of Los Angeles. Many people like to bicycle around the valley. Still, a car is your best bet.

Other Things to Note

You may park on the driveway or up the street.

  • After I booked Alisa's home she was in touch immediately and made me feel so comfortable about my decision. You really have to experience this place because it will feel like your "home away from home" with everything you can think of. The kitchen is fully equipped if you want to cook, blend smoothies or even juice (yes the kitchen has a juicer). This wonderful neighborhood was very quiet and serene yet only minutes from shopping and wonderful restaurants. With balconies in the front and rear of the home, I was able to enjoy my morning coffee watching the sun rise and listening to the birds then in the evening watching the sunset with my glass of wine. I honestly can't wait to go back! Thank you Alisa for being such a gracious host and all the recommendations of where to hike, etc. and of course your favorite restaurant which I ate dinner at three times!!

  • My friend and I spent 4 lovely nights at Alisa's beautiful home in Sedona/Oak Creek Village, AZ. We were sad that we had to leave a night early to catch a flight in LA. From the moment we arrived at Alisa's Sedona Retreat House, we felt so at home in her lovely and beautiful decorated home, with her artwork surrounding us everywhere. Everything is as pictured, and all you could want and need for cooking, bathing, and sleeping is right there for your stay. I stayed in the small bedroom with a daybed, and I slept on the top mattress, it was heavenly!! Alisa was kind to allow us to arrive a tad early which was so nice of her. Her home is within a short walk to the Hilton, as well as the wonderful Italian restaurant Cucina Rustica!!! Sedona is an easy drive from her home. I loved lounging in the creek at the Red Rock Crossing!! The neighborhood is quite and tranquil and we loved our stay at Alisa's lovely home. Do not miss the star gazing at night, it was amazing. I would recommend anyone to stay at Alisa's home when visiting the Sedona area and I/we will stay there again for sure. Thank you Alisa for all of your wonderful and prompt communication, we had a fantastic stay in your home ;-)) … Light Laughter and Love … Louise and Marianne

  • Alisa was such a considerate host! She recommended fantastic restaurants and sites to visit. Her home is very clean, comfortable, and full of beautiful art! We loved being able to sit out on the porch and watch the stars, read from the hammock, and veg out in front of the fire place after hiking all day. Alisa was totally available, thoughtful, and communicative, and I highly recommend her as a host.

Hi Reed, thanks for the lovely Review on my Sedona home. I am so happy you both had a great time. I hope some day to meet you when I fly out to New York,
sometime this year. Hope your trip home was easy and that you are settled in again. Sedona must seem light years away.
Just wondering if you gave some thought to my possibly contacting your friend to ask a few questions about the best way to approach the UN for a show. If you dont feel comfortable, no problem. If you do feel comfortable, let me know and if you would even want to proceed. Otherwise, it was a pleasure talking with you and I welcome you to my home in the future any time.

  • Last week was my second time staying at Alisa's beautiful house. Beautiful sunlight through the window in the morning and the view is great. The place is exactly what you see in pictures!

Alisa is a great host and very considerate. Her house mate Carolyn is a very sweet lady who greeted me the first time I stayed there when Alisa happened to be out of town. Alisa even prepared some snacks in the fridge when she was away. I highly recommend Alisa's place to anyone.

    Thanks Alisa and Carolyn!

  • This is a lovely place, located in the Village of Oak Creek, which is part of the larger Sedona area. It is a short (~10 minute) drive from the heart of Sedona, which is nice as it is more calm in the Village, yet close enough to everything.

It is very close to Bell Rock, which we found to be incredibly beautiful and powerful. And the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful.

The house has nice amenities, from the fireplace, to TV, to even a juicer. The bed was comfy, the shower powerful, and there were nice places to sit outside on both sides of the house.

Alisa communicated very well, and ensured we had what we needed during our stay.

  • We had 7 wonderful days in Alisa's house. The first three days we rented bicycles and rode to different places where we could hike which was a new experience for us. And later in the week we took the car to go to Sedona and West Fork Canyon. The environment around Alisa's house is amazingly beautiful and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. We had breakfasts on the porch with mountain view and dinners in the cozy living room. We had a very good stay. Thank you Alisa.

About
I am a professional artist and psychotherapist from California. I am a sculptor andI love to carve marble in Italy. I speak Spanish and Italian, and love to travel to Europe, South America, and adventure destinations. I love art, theater, standard poodles, classical music, reading and meeting people from around the world. I love to dance salsa and even a little tango. Want to join me? I enjoy international cuisine, especially sushi and authentic Spanish food. I am considered the salad queen for my inventive salads, though I am told I am a very good cook, and let's face it, that is another aspect of this creative life. I love foreign films the most, though I have to admit that some of my favorite films are still those by Nora Ephron (When Harry Met Sally) and Mel Brooks and Woody Allen. Great Comedy or complex memoires are a must. I will share a few of my favorite jokes with you....joke telling runs in the family for generations. I love hosting guests from across the globe. Your stay will be fun and enlightening. Sometimes I even demonstrate how I carve in stone, and will give you a personal tour of the art. Often available for good conversation and am always interested in you and what you do.. I will point you in the right direction about what to see in this area.
