Great location right near a great spot on the beaches for sun and surfing. Rodrigo was very helpful when we needed him .

Great property. Very clean. Kitchen has everything you need. Lots of space and air conditioned. The property is set back away from the road so that it's not dusty. There is no view from the property but you can walk to the beach from here no problem. We enjoyed yoga and surfing while in Santa Teresa. As far as the town itself and getting to the town: I do NOT recommend driving from Liberia, and if you do take an SUV. The roads are quite bad- gravel, rutted, washboarded etc. all around this area. The biggest disappointment for Santa Teresa was the dust, traffic. The scene here seems a bit younger- 20's with some 30-somethings.

The dome house is an incredible place with a wonderful host; Rodrigo. Any student of architecture should make a pilgrimage here to see the geodesic construction made from Chilean railway timbers.

We are a couple with a 4 year old girl and and 6 year old boy - I am writing this very much from a young family's perspective Starting with the positives. The little dome house is PERFECT for a self catering family holiday. The design of the Dome is very clever - the spaces are well thought out and the kitchen, although very basic, has everything you need to make most dishes on the hob. We ate one night in the restaurant and the sushi was very, very good. Marcela was a good host - helping us out with a car rental process and giving us tips on what we could do with the kids. There is a supermarket which is about a 10 minute walk from the villas - it is really well stocked. The villas are set back from the main road - which is very dusty at this time of year. We were delighted with frequent visits from howler monkeys, iguanas, colourful birds and Atila - the boxer dog who lives on site. And now the not so good. Check in was not smooth as we arrived in the middle of the party that happens on Thursday evenings. Our family lives right in the middle of Mexico City and so we are more than used to loud music and were able to get to sleep no problem - but i don't think this would be the case for most families with small kids, and is definitely a point to consider when choosing Alma. The dome could have been a lot cleaner - the floor under the upstairs bed had not been cleaned in what looked like months, there are dead flies in the dome's many crevices and we did find the odd cockroach. Towels were not replaced in the 6 days we stayed there and the apartment was cleaned just twice. I had to wash everything in the kitchen before I used it. I feel that a few cupboards with doors (both kitchen and living spaces) would be beneficial as there are Quijas (small lizards) in the dome and their droppings were evident. Rodrigo was very rarely there. We saw him on our last day when he came to charge us for the extra night we added on to our trip. He was curt and never said "good bye / thank you / hope to see you again / safe travels " or any other of the pleasantries that might be appropriate to a client who has just spent the best part of a thousand dollars on their stay. TIP - During our time in Sta Teresa (6 days) we were unable to take more than 100 dollars out of the cash machine - which is easily a half hour walk from Alma. Bring cash before coming :)

Fantasic experience, kind host with a thoughtful welcome intro. Place is unique, comfortable and in a great location. There is a party on Thursday nights, right next to the place, so if that is not your thing should inquire beforehand.

The overall experience was great! The dome house is beautiful and the location is great – close to the beach and at the same time hidden away a bit from the main road. We didn't have to sleep on the second floor, which was good because it was very hot up there. The hosts was lovely, they even fixed a little "pool" for our baby boy. The restaurant had amazing food, so if you stay here – make sure you try it!
