  • This was a birthday get together for 4 siblings from across the country. Heather was one of the most helpful and accommodating vacation owners we have ever dealt with. This was my first time using AirBNB and certainly not me last. Heather was quick to answer my question about area restaurants ( a gem was Nanking in China town). As it was my 60th birthday, it was fun to have all other birthday decorations up, as it appears it was someone in Heathers familys birthday also.

Heather allowed us to use the food in her fridge, which was great so that we didn't have to rush out and find food right away.

Trader Joes and Safeway are only 4 blocks away. Columbus Ave and the Italian and Chinese section are a short 10-15 minute walk. Lombard street is two blocks over, BUT we found Virginia Street which is more crooked than Lombard!

ALL IN ALL an excellently located apartment to the sights of San Fran AND an excellent host.

    Thank you for your hospitality

  • We arrived while Heather was away. Still everything went very smoothly. Heather answered through the phone on all the issues that raised (like the tricky shower opening). We appreciated very much the extra effort that she made to ensure that our visit will be successful (we needed to have our printed material in the flat. She took care to receive the package and then ask someone to bring it).
The flat is as in the pictures: with great view, best location, clean, fully stuffed kitchen, etc.

  • Heather's apartment was perfect for our family - two adults and three children. It was clean and with ample space, has amazing views from the family room and deck, and the North Beach location could not have been better - close to restaurants, the waterfront (Pier 45), Coit Tower, and the cable cars. We enjoyed our stay here very, very much.

  • Our family was happy with our accommodations. We researched a lot of places and decided to take a leap of faith and try out airbnb. It was a fun experience! This apartment is perfect for families as there is a room full of toys and a cheerful cozy vibe in the living area. There are steep stairs so not good for toddlers unless you bring a latching gate for stairway. The queen bed is fine, the pull out sofa is small and will tip if you lean on one side. The hostess left a foam pad which was essential for the sofa bed comfort. It works ok for one person. There is plenty of room for a blow up bed and the couch is super comfy for sleeping. Not that the only TV is in the room with the sofa bed and not in the main living room. Overall I recommend it as a nice place. There were no problems and the location is key. It is not high end or fancy, it is lived in with all the stuff: family pictures around, family schedule on the wall, food in fridge, paper piles in desk area, folded laundry..somebody's life. CONS: no cable ( who needs it in SF though), noisy from neighbors moving about upstairs very late st night (we stayed Thursday to Sunday and heard it loud Friday and Saturday). You can handle it if you are a hard sleeper. I had trouble falling asleep but my kids and husband weren't bothered. No toaster or hair dryer, had a moderate musty old-house odor. PROS: location, apartment was cozy, clean and charming with all amenities and a warm invite by hostess, great view from living area and roof. We will return!

  • We had a great stay at Heather's place. Comfortable accommodations and plenty of room for our family of five. Great views from the apartment and the rooftop deck as well. It was cool to be able to see the lights of Alcatraz and Fisherman's Wharf at night as well as being able to hear the sea lions down at the pier. Lots of restaurant choices nearby. The apartment is located within walking distance of most tourist sites in San Francisco. A taxi ride brought us to and from the airport. Quick and easy communications with Heather. We would enjoy staying again at this apartment the next time we are in town!

  • Had a great time staying at Heather's place in North Beach. The apartment is in a very good location, tons of places to eat down the street. A walk to pier 39 and Lombard st. Great rooftop views.

  • The apartment is in the best location in North Beach. Centrally located to all the great places on Columbus Ave and the trolley stops. 10 minute walk Fisherman's Wharf or to downtown Financial District and only 15 mins to the Bart. The apartment also has one of the best views in the city-

  • Apartment was great - lovely view. Perfect communication. Unfortunately no sheets were provided for the couch/beds we needed to use and we were not told about the automatically locking front door which left us stranded for a while. Careful to not make any noise when you get home either!

  • Heather's place was perfectly located (a block from Washington Square), clean, and had an unbelievable view. We spent our evenings on the rooftop balcony (the highest roof for several blocks, I believe).

We loved our time, and would gladly rent this place again. Thank you, Heather!
