Our spacious one bedroom guest apartment locates separately on ground floor of our home in Silver Lake. There's big bedroom with queen size bed , big bathroom with shower/bathtub, hallway with entrance door to the street, fully equipped eating area but no kitchen sink/stove. Parking is free at curb. Most suitable for guests who just need a comfy place to sleep. We currently HOST ONLY ONE GUEST. Pls kindly read through our rules before booking.

The space
My spacious 500 sqft guest apartment is like a standard one bed room apartment without a real kitchen. I categorized it as apartment because it has a large bedroom with door, a separate hallway/dining area, a big bath/shower room and it locates separately on ground floor of my house. There is a stairway connecting the apartment to the upper floor where we live but you don't see it thanks to big thick wall panel divider to block noise and ensure complete privacy.
The bedroom has built in closet, one platform queen bed with super comfy Stearns and Foster European Pillowtop. Mattress The bedroom also has 48" Smart Samsung TV with Nexflix and Amazon Prime.
The hallway is first place you walk in through entrance door. It is also eating area. There are kitchen island and tall chairs, kitchen cart with Kitchen Aid toaster/oven and Keurig coffee machine, tall cabinet with microwave and a small fridge. I stock environmental friendly disposable coffee cups/dishes/bowls/spoons/forks/chopsticks/napkins in the kitchen cart. I provide coffee/tea pots/ creamers and sweet treats together with filtered water bottles on the counter.
The Bathroom is very spacious with shower/ bath tube. I provide all necessary amenities, please find them inside above the toilet cabinet and wall mirror cabinet.

Parking: our street is parking free. There are available spots on street at curb right at front most of the time. The driveway in front of the house is for our cars only

The apartment has no kitchen sink/ stove or washing/drying machines. In compensation for the lack of these, the apartment is within walking distance or short drive to lost of great and affordable restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, hair salons and laundrettes.

Guest access
Stairway to upper floor is blocked by heavy thick wall dividers. No access upstairs.

Other things to note
NOISE:
- The apartment is right next to the street, although the neighbourhood is peaceful and quiet most of the time but as it is within walking distance to the busy Sunset Blvd leading to DTLA and Hollywood, please expect normal street noise like people walking by, police siren from the city, helicopters, cars, leaves blowers, dog barks etc in the mornings and coyotes howling at nights. Well, it's LA.

- We live on upper floor which is separate from guest apartment floor by the stairway and thick divider panels only so please expect some normal family noise from our floor, which is our living room. We are mostly quiet but please expect some sound of walking, guitar practicing or singing from our floor as well as noise from our dogs. but we DO respect quiet time after 9PM when all of us settle in other rooms than the living room that right above the Airbnb. We have 3 dogs, 2 are big hypoallergenic poodles, they stay upstair at all time, but please expect to hear them wrestling each other sometimes, and barking at the mailman and people who come upstair to our floor, but they do not bark excessively.
Unexpected noise from outside in a mostly quiet area such as Trash truck on Thursday mornings, animals such as coyotes screaming, skunks, raccoons, mices and squirrels running on roof or behind the walls. We are unable to control the sounds from outside or underneath the house or behind walls, we can only do our best to keep the animals away from the house surrounding. Having said so, the Airbnb is quiet most of the time, only in a few occasions those unexpected noise happened But please consider before booking.

BEFORE YOU BOOK: PLEASE READ HOUSE RULES THOROUGHLY:

- We kindly ask that guests are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 before checking in.
- We repeat again that we ONLY HOST ONE GUEST, GUEST SHOWS UP WITH PARTNER OR HAVE VISITOR STAYING OVERNIGHT DURING THE STAY will be considered as violating the HOUSE RULES and we will report to AIRBNB to have the stay cancelled without refund.
- Strictly no visitors , but short visits by friends or family members or relatives who drop you off or pick you up are OK.

- Unfortunately we do not host guests under 18 years old.
- We only host Non smokers as May has lung issues and she is the one who manages the property, interacts with guests and cleans after guests checking out. Our nextdoor neighbour also has a kid who had serious lung issue therefore smoking in our driveway is not an option either.
- PLEASE NOTE that i will ONLY accept a reservation if you have a clear profile picture of yourself posted to your account. Anyone else shows up to check in to the home that is not the person we accepted, for example if you are renting for your friend, boss, employee, or anyone else, without giving me notice in advance, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation upon arrival.
- As a superhost for many years, we believe good communication is key to ensure a smooth stay so we will stay in touch by texting during your stay, but only when it is necessary. THEREFORE, PLEASE HAVE A PHONE NUMBER REGISTED WITH AIRBNB. WE DON'T ACCEPT BOOKINGS WITHOUT FULLY REGISTERED ID, PHONE NUMBER WITH AIRBNB.

Silver Lake is one of the hottest neighborhoods of LA. It is creative, bohemian, trendy and full of beautiful people. It's close to east Hollywood hills. Sunset Blvd is nearby and has tons of shopping, eateries, coffee shops and is very close to Downtown LA and Griffith Observatory and Park
We are also a short walk to the Silverlake community park, the dog park and the Silverlake Reservoir, which is great for running/walking and gives a very Central Park feeling in the midst of Los Angeles.
